I am trying to book for November 5th-11th with the "Back to School" offer but it seems to be sold out?

Now I can relax. I ended up getting AS Sport for 9/9-9/16. I wanted POR or CBR. We had a package for POR originally booked for 9/11 - 9/16 but I found I was playing around with ADRs and found a dinner ressie at BOG for 9/9. So going 2 days earlier got us out of POR. Of course we have to pay the upgrade for the dining plan, but it only comes out to around $200 more for 2 extra days, plus we get to eat at BOG.

Now the fun can start, making my shirts! Happy Free Dining everyone! pixiedust:

Ok so I've been trying different scenarios and dates (like a day or two less) all day and finally got something at lunch. I jumped on it just bc I was excited lol but I really hope to find something cheaper. It's a family suite at all star music and it's 2 less nights than our original POR package with not free dining and only $673 off so it's really not much of a deal when you add the ph and increased ticket price....

OK, I know this has been discussed but I see some comments on a FB group about 11/5 being the end of RO. As in nothing coming down the pike in July or what have you. Does anyone have opinions on this? I'd love to see some released later but as one person commented- why would Disney need to do this? @black562?? I know you gave a nice RO round up yesterday. Any thought changes? TIA!
I think we'll see something. I don't think Disney will just stop have promotions. I think they'll need to have something to keep the rooms filled at the resorts during the no free dining weeks of november.

Called at 7:00 EST And there was no availabilty for preferred room at Pop Century. So, had to go with All Star Sports. CM told me i wasn't eligible for Free Dining because my CHECK OUT date was outside the given dates. I explained that's not how it works and read to her from the we site. After she told me her supervisor agreed with her, I almost gave up. Next she said I couldn't upgrade from QS to DDP. Again, i read to her from website. While she was checking with a supervisor, i found more to read to her. She got back on and apologized profusely saying i was correct on both counts!. So, she applied what came to be almost $1,000.00 credit to our account. Then, checked our October trip and got a surprise and delight that gave us free dining for 10 people in October even though those dates are blocked out!!!! Love Disney

I'm currently trying to decide between CBR or Pop. CBR is just over $500 more. Would love your thoughts on why it would be worth the additional $500. Thx
Easy, it's quieter. That alone is worth it. It's got a tropical, vacation feel. We love the beach, watching epcots fireworks from the beach, and now Star Wars fireworks. The pool has 2 waterslides and a pirate ship kids pool/ play area. The food court is awesome. What I love is even when it's booked full, it never seems like it.

For us we are splurging because we booked way back last May and had budgeted in paying for the DDP at ASMovies. With the FD we were able to book CBR and still save about $100! It's also DH's birthday and he has always wanted to stay there! Don't get me wrong, we love Pop, but it's so exciting to finally be able to do a mod - something we never thought we'd be able to do! The pool looks awesome and I've heard amazing things about it!

Hi Cat Lady,

I see you're another Coronado fan! We've enjoyed the FD promo for the past three years; hang in there, we've never had a problem with availability.

why is beginning of October so busy
My only other choice was Jersey week
Hope I picked the lesser of two evils

Just modified my beach club reservation for Dec 10th to free dinning online. took two mins. Looking forward to 11 days of excitement. I Do wish I called in just to listen to the hold music. I think I have a problem... :)

I think you would be fine in either Casitas or Cabanas. We LOVE casitas, as it is bus stop number 4, but the bus actually stops there first, and it is a very quiet area. Cabanas is also very quiet, is the third bus stop, and SEEMS to me to be a little closer of a walk to the dining area. I am not sure that it is, bit it seems that way. Cabanas is also closer to the Dig Site main pool area. The only area I have avoided is Rancheros, which are furthest from the dining area. I would suggest calling to have your preferences added to your reservation and I have always faxed a request to the resort as well, approximately 4-5 days before check-in. Also, you can note your preferences during on-line checkin. I would make sure to include bottom floor if you will have a stroller. Let me know if you'd like to know anything else!
Thank you SO much, I really appreciate it. This is great info and I will be sure to use it :) Good idea about the ground floor!

there are 3 holidays in October......ROSH HASHANAH COLUMBUS DAY AND YOM KIPPUR....the schools follow so October 3-4-10 and 12 most schools are closed...

I'm so gonna crash this evening.

I wish I could crash! We coach tball and have practice tonight... 15 kids, all 4 and 6 year olds. Plus I have 4 of my own at home today. Baby is sleeping now so I'm gonna try and sneak in a nap!

You can see Epcot and HS fireworks from CBR? I had no idea! Staying there 1st time. Our first trip we stayed at GF and we loved watching them every night. You are going to love the poly! Never stayed but the customer service at deluxes is soooooo nice.

Hello, Sorry if previously asked. I am an annual passholder. I would like to book the free dining and give the park hopper to some friends of ours since we will not be able to use it. Do you know if they mail you the park hopper to have in hand to use at anytime and if so when do they mail it because we are planning to go in december, but my friend is planning to go and use the park hopper in september. thanks for any help

Free dining doesn't fall into the dates that we are traveling, but I was curious if we had been able to change our dates what the price would be... So just for fun I picked some random dates in December just to see. So Finding Nemo suites from December 14-21 with the free quick service dining plan is $4615. Right now we are booked November 3-10, Finding Nemo, with the regular dining plan and are paying $4677. Where's the free with the December dates? I'm confused

Anyone else having a child's ticket (3-9 years) show as a "10 and older ticket" in MDE? I know MDE always has wonky stuff, but curious if this is happening for anyone else. My reservation confirmation email shows the correct information.

Yes! Mine is showing that for my 6 y/o. Glad to hear it wasn't something I did wrong. I will likely call at some point, but not today!
