2016 Free Dining - QS for Moderates?

I am looking for advice/counsel from some DIS vets:

I've been doing a lot of research for our trip next year, and I came across this video from Disney UK that discusses the UK version of Free Dining 2016.

My concern is that the video states that Moderates will receive the Quick Service Dining Plan, while only Deluxe will have the DDP. I recognize that the UK promotion is entirely separate and different from the US one, but as I am completely new to WDW, I wanted to consult the experts.

Is this traditionally the way the promotion is offered to the UK, while the US gets the DDP for Moderates?

I know that Free Dining has not been announced, nor is it a guarantee. Regardless, I'm just trying to be completely prepared when the time comes for me to book.

I have this offer booked for April next year. You are correct in assuming the offer works differently for us in the uk. It has worked this way for a number of years (moderates QSDP, deluxe DDP, values no dining plan) whilst the US offer has been values DDP and moderates and deluxe DDP. The up side for us in the UK is that the offer runs almost all year ( just a few dates excluded) and if you book well enough in advance, as we did, you also get a gift card, we are getting $200 with our booking. None of this would appear to impact the US offers!

You can also book a moderate and upgrade for a reasonable amount.

Who knows what will happen this year. Every year they cut back on the fee dining more and more. So glad we booked a BB when we were there in September so at least this year I don't have to worry about it.

Nobody knows what the 2016 offer will look like, but it is definitely standard for the UK offer to include QS for moderates.

UK guests often stay 2 to 3 weeks, and Disney would like them to spend most or all of that time staying at Disney resorts and eating at Disney restaurants, so they get these very generous offers that we in the US do not get.

YANKEBABIE..You mention BB...any idea what the dates of the offer are. We are traveling over Christmas and are looking for something in March or June of 2016.

There's no current bounceback offers that include free dining. the previous poster is referring to an offer that is usually given for guests staying in September to book the following September (maybe including a few other fall dates). In general, unless you are British, your chances of getting free dining in March or June are just this side of none.
