2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

A conference call won't help. It has to be paid for on the Chase Disney Visa so they won't take her card.

And right now it looks like AP/TWI is only going to be seminars so once again she's out of luck.

I would just book you own and let them do their own. And if you don't get it tomorrow then do the same thing Thursday, each couple call on their own and book

That's exactly what I'm going to do.

If we both get lucky and are able to get the same date, any idea if we'd be able to request that we be seated at the same table? Would we do that on the day we check in for the reservation?

Does anyone know for the Parisian breakfast if we book separately from friends can we be seated together or are we out of luck unless we book together? Trying to come up with a plan of attack for booking.

When I was at the Parisian Breakfast, the seating was all pre-assigned. I don't know if you can try to link reservation beforehand, but I don't think you'd have much luck trying to move tables once you got to the event.

They did move people around both of the years I went so I expect they will do their best to work with you.

For those that have gone through what everyone is about to experience tomorrow morning, and Thursday morning, what would you guess is going to sell out first? For us, the Hibachi Experience was extremely difficult to get (took us three years to get in), and PFTS reserved seating. I think those are the only events I have wanted and not gotten in the past.
Is the hibachi experience differnt then their usual ones? I like Hibachi but am worried that I'll be paying for what I get when i go to Teppan Edo anyway.

For clarification, to take part in pre-booking for Chase card members, events must be paid for by a Disney Chase Visa card. To access the Chase Lounge, you only need a Chase card, not necessarily a Disney one.

Chase Disney Visa members also seem to have an alternate call in number as well. It is a WDW number, but not the FEST (3378) number. I don't remember seeing that information anywhere (thanks figment_jii for cluing me in on where to find the letter!).

"Chase debit and credit cardmembers, including Disney Visa Cardmembers, will receive exclusive access to the Chase Lounge1 at the Festival. The Lounge, located on the third floor of the American Adventure Pavilion within Epcot World Showcase, will offer cardmembers an inviting place to relax, enjoy complimentary, non-alcoholic refreshments, and access charging stations, among other amenities. It will open daily during the Festival from 11 a.m. until Park close."

"Disney Visa Credit Cardmembers also have the opportunity on July 19 and July 20 to book reservations for special events offered at this year’s Festival before sales open to the general public on July 21. Call 407-939-1870 to book reservations with your Disney Visa Credit Card."

The Hibachi Experience is like you would expect, as in a group of people sitting around a hot table top while an amusing Japanese chef makes your meal and jokes. However, the W&D Experience is so much more! The amount of food and free flowing drinks was amazing. Actually too much food to eat all of each course. And the quality of the food was phenomenal. And they don't skimp, either. I remember really enjoying the lobster tail course, even though I'm not a lobster fan. There is a full support staff as well, besides the chef and host, both of whom were knowledgeable, personable, and amusing. We had a great time, two years ago. We did not go last year though, so...

I absolutely second @BwoZoo22's post below!! TOTALLY WORTH IT, and a TOTALLY DIFFERENT experience than the regular hibachi one.

I used the Chase "special" phone number last year and it sent my call to the general WDW reservation queue (hotel reservations, dining reservations, etc). By the time I finished going through all of the prompts, there was a 75 minute wait. Maybe the number will work better this year but if I were calling in, I think ID use the WDW-FEST number.

I asked about tomorrow when I was making my hotel payment and I got transferred to someone who told me that Chase had a dedicated number to call tomorrow. Of course she didn't know what it was. I'm guessing it's the 407-939-1870 number if the other one is regular dining.

Thank you, I thought I had read some reviews that said the same, but wasn't sure.

They did move people around both of the years I went so I expect they will do their best to work with you.

That's good to know in case we're not able to book together. Hopefully we will, but if not there might be a small chance.

So what's the consensus for tomorrow as to what we think may be eligible for booking? Know cooking demos and beverage seminars. What else? Party for the Senses? What's Cooking with? Other? I'll be dialing in with the masses... Good luck everyone!!!

My stomach is already in knots about tomorrow. This is the very first time they've had the parisian breakfast and the pairings while we're there. Sooooo hoping I can get it. Just deep breaths, just deep breaths...Thank you Dorie.

I called today to make sure it wasn't AP booking & it wasn't. I talked to three different CMs & got the same info, so it might actually be correct.

Tomorrow:
7 AM Chase (events must be paid for with Chase Disney Visa)
9 AM AP, TiW, DVC

Seminars, demonstrations, select (unknown) special events.

Well, poop...I have 2 Disney Visas but my vacation money is all on Disney gift cards. I hope losing that two hour advantage doesn't cost me the reservation.

I have an AP and TiW. How do you prove that on the phone when booking? Is there some number they will ask for to confirm?

Yes, they are going to ask for your AP or TiW number. It will be on the back of the cards.
I have an AP (somewhere...it's linked to my MB and DME so I have no idea what the number is) but I am also a DVC Member. I can just call the (407)WDW-FEST correct? I don't need to go through DVC member services do I?

I'm hoping to get the Parisian Afternoon and a culinary demo as well. I thought I read somewhere that DVC members get a $2 discount on the culinary demos that are held Mon-Thursday. I can't find that anywhere now...was I hallucinating?

Good luck to everyone tomorrow. I'll be dialing at 8:59am and probably waiting on hold for an hour:bored::rolleyes1

You will have no problem getting the Parisian breakfast
