2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

Saw where "The Chew" will be back this year recording for a week

Did you need to be staying on site last year to purchase the premium package? I know the first year (2014) you did. In thought that requirement was removed in 2015. Looking forward to details for this year.

Last year you did not have to stay on property. Who knows what they will do this year?

Hi All
I read the Disney Blog this morning but am still confused about the booking dates. I am interested in booking the following:
Cheese seminar
What's cooking with demo
Parisian breakfast
Several of the $15 culinary demos

I am a DVC member so I can book on July 19, correct? Must I call or can I do it online?
For all the others is the first booking date July 21? Call or on line?

I am on vacation that week so this is going to be a problem!

THANKS

The premium package wasn't referenced in yesterday's overview and the food blog is saying "no word yet." I'd expect it would return - just hope the details are released (& clear!) before booking opens (unlike last year!)

Clarified with the DFB:
Culinary Demos, Beverage Seminars, Mix It Make It Celebrate It are eligible for early booking.

Everything else must wait until July 21.

1. Unless Disney's IT has made dramatic improvements (and nothing I have seen has indicated that has occurred) you will have to call and book over the phone. You could book demos online last year, but I am not sure if that was an option for early booking. I know What's Cooking and Parisian Breakfast were phone only.
2. The other wrench in here is Chase. I actually would be shocked if they don't get an early booking day too and it may be for everything. Watch the DisneyFoodBlog and the boards, hopefully clarification will occur.

Wonder if I could get Vegas to give me odds... If so I would bet that the details are not clearly defined by 7/21! In Disney's defense they don't need to be, people throw money at them without having a clue what they are getting :) It's worked for the last two years so there's no real motivation to change.

I haven't seen the pricing or the schedule for the mixology and culinary demonstrations. I am thinking on doing the behind the scenes at Trader sams grotto and perhaps the Japanese beer tasting for DH nothing else seems to be catching my attention. I hope I can book those the 19th :genie:.

Disney Food Blog has posted a lot of info. Early booking for DVC, AP, and TIW is 7/19. They don't mention Chase but I won't be surprised if it's 7/20.

They have details on lots of things including the Party for the Senses. (October weekends only). They put in 2015 Premium Package details and say they have no details on this year.
Might someone be able to post the link to the booking date info?

I love the info they provide, but sometimes I feel like the website is a bit of a maze. :(

If you're doing prebookings as a DVC member or Disney Visa, you have to call in (at least that's the way its been for the last several years). On 7/21, there will be some of the events/demos that you can book online but often the WDW website crashes because of all of the people trying to access it. Often the phone lines "crash" and can't even get in to wait for a CM!

Last year if you wanted to get your AP discount for any of the little culinary demos or wine tastings you had to call and not do it on line.

I really picked the wrong week to go. Why is the ESPN club on the Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining my week, (why is it on the list period for that matter?) and to top it off there will be no seeing my favorite chefs

Does anyone know what events are going to get discounts for AP and tables of wonderland ? Can you pay with Disney gc when you make the reservations ?

Historically only the culinary demos and beverage seminars held Monday - Friday get discounts. Everything else if full price.

Seems like paying by gift card was possible over the phone, but not easy.

Can someone who went to the Party for the Senses tell me a little bit about the Yelloween Masquerade? It anything more elaborate than just dressing in black and yellow?
