Thanks!

Usually the dates for the next year's Festival are released early that year, so probably January or February 2017. The dates for this year's Festival were announced on 2/16/16We'd like to do the F&W 5k again( I got a new right knee in January and can walk again!). We'd like to do the same thing- book during the last few days of F& W. When do the 2017 F & W dates come out? Will I be able to see them by the end of August?
About 4 years ago,DH and I walked the F & W 5k. We checked into the CBR about the last three days of F&W festival. It was our first F& W experience. We enjoyed it even though things were winding down by then- Tokyo Dining was about the only opening for a special meal( turned out to be one of our best meals ever!!). We're going to WDW next month, the last week of August and will probably be booking a bounce back offer for next year.

I just noticed that the number of culinary demonstrations has been reduced this year from 3 per day to 2 per day.
Last year, demos were scheduled at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM each day. For 2016, the demos are scheduled for 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM each day.
Also, I'm disappointed with this year's beverage & culinary demos, at least for my dates.
We'll be at WDW for the first time during F&W. We're traveling with our DD (20, culinary student) and DD (3.5, picky eater). I would say this trip is NOT focused on F&W, it is focused on our DD (20)'s first trip to WDW. We have a 1/2 day planned around World Showcase and we were just planning to snack around as we toured; NOT on a Friday or Saturday.
Here's my real question, do you think I should cancel our dinner reservation on the day we plan to spend the afternoon snacking around the world OR just plan on that being our lunch that day? I realize this might be a personal preference question based on our eating habits, but I just wondered if there were others on this thread who were just casual F&W attendees.

Someone enlighten me about the PFTS "cheap seats". Do you play musical chairs the whole night? I'm wondering if I should just leave my stuff at a table to keep it. Will everyone have a seat?
Disney food blog says it wasn't released yet.Am I missing the "Mix it, Make it, Celebrate it" info?? Did anyone see any info about it?
I feel the same way! The only ones I'm interested in fall on a weekday, since we live local we can go any weekend and I felt last year the better ones were on the weekends, hence no discount. I'm holding out hope that the mix it thing has some intersting things or I don't think I'll be doing any demos this year.I just noticed that the number of culinary demonstrations has been reduced this year from 3 per day to 2 per day.

This year is my first time planning to go for F&W, and I'm so excited!! Everything looks DELICIOUS! Does anyone know if the Grilled Sweet and Spicy Bush Berry Shrimp with Pineapple, Pepper, Onion and Snap Peas at the Australia booth is a returning item? I'm a pescetarian and wondering if it has any meat hiding in it (aside from the shrimp).
