Hi - I've been doing a little research for our family holiday next year and although I hope that the free dining deals come out next month, I've been investigating the costs of hotels via Disney to gage how much of a difference there is in price. Strangely the costs of both the Poly and the GF have recently decreased dramatically and OKW and SS have increased substantially? Any idea why? I thought the reason the Poly might have decreased would be due to the construction but the prices I'm looking at are for next May and the work is due to be completed before then. Any ideas? My original plan was to stay at WL as we have a 5 year old and want to stay close to MK but couldn't originally afford the Poly or GF or CR as all 3 were very overpriced, however the Poly and GF have come down significantly in price and we're having second thoughts about staying at WL. Would you recommend the Poly with a 5 year old? And do you think the construction is likely to be completed by next year? Sorry for all the questions - appreciate any ideas!

i am not sure i have been looking at prices so i can compare if and when the free dining comes on . port orleans riverside was quoting at cheaper than we paid for 2013 ( i was searching same week) also caribbean beach i snow showing available for our party of 5 at a great price too

but the strangest thing was how little difference between the riverside and yacht club . it was way too expensive to even consider beach/yacht last time but it seeme dto have dropped a lot now

we visitined the poly didnt stay over and looked great , fab pool area easy to get to from mk

i am unsure as to when the work will be complete but see no reason why i wouldnt stay with a 5 year old

Thanks bex7583. There's so many great resorts to choose from so its hard to know which to pick! I cant decide if a monorail resort is worth the extra bucks or if a stay at Wilderness Lodge would be a nice break from it all as my daughter loves swimming and beaches. Fingers crossed the DDP is released for 2016 and that the prices overall are not increased too much!

I'm also trying to look for next may, and he decided that we would only do universal ans stay off site however if prices are looking good I may have to.have a sneaky look.
I'd like may but with flights to save for two, and there now being 5 "disney"adults end september would be better giving us more time to save.
We've decided not to tell the kids so if we end up having to push the trip back there won't be dissapointment.

well I checked back again at the weekend and they've gone up again - looks like the prices are very erratic - maybe in preparation for the Dining Deals coming out next month? Tinkerpea - we chose End of April as out little one doesn't start school until August - so we checked most of school holidays to see when would be best to go to avoid kids being off and apparently anytime after 18th April and before June looked good - hope I've got that right!? Our school starts August so we couldn't go after then and then prices go up during school holidays thereafter - hence we were doing this holiday before she starts school. No doubt the prices will be increased once the dining deals come out as well.. but worth watching! wow 5 adults would be pricey!
