We got ours about two weeks ago and ours is the same thing. This is our 2nd one. I was excited about the backpack and I am with you Carpenta I was thinking dirty clothes bag for the drawstring bag too.
My daughters were happy that they sent two backpacks. They each "claimed" one of them. I like the luggage straps as well. It's practical for ABD, and also nice to help secure the bags.
Who hoo! So excited to see the awesome looking backpacks! They look like the ones they gave out on our first ABD in 2007 that we still use. Hope similar quality.
This looks good! Loved the backpacks we got in 2010 and 2011.....some of the later things, not so much. We don't leave ti early July but I had forgotten all about the gifts til I saw this thread!
Thought the tablet case was pretty nice. Mrs. danv3 used it. I didn't find the backpack to be as good. Just one big compartment and one small one IIRC. Our old AbD backpack from 2010 is much nice with multiple pockets/compartments. I use it as my carryon bag on most vacations.
Yes, they are a different style/color each year, and the items vary year to year. Looks like they didn't do the canvas totes this year (or at least not for the Insiders). I got the canvas tote two years in a row, in different colors.
It'll be interesting to see what those of us North of the border get. Disney stopped sending out planning CDs if you are outside the US and it's impossible to get an ABD catalogue if you're outside the US as well.
I loved he 2015 tote - very LL BEAN looking in canvas with the light blue trim. Adore this bag. Going on a trip this July and little disappointed in this. Had the flimsy drawstring bag from last year, ok for dirty laundry...backpack isn't as nice looking as the canvas tote maybe better in person???

You're lucky. Last time I asked at my CAA about an ABD catalogue they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. They had no idea what I was talking about even though they had an ABD banner in the doorway
