Hey--I think everybody's busy spring cleaning. I know I've been doing a lot of that. Was doing good earlier in the week, down a pound but I made up for that over the last few days. Won't go into details but st. patrick's day, cinnabon and 5 guys burgers and fries were involved. Oh well-- gotta live...
Got rid of my pc in the kitchen over the weekend and the stand for it. Re- organized the space and put a big floor to ceiling utility shelf in the kitchen to put all my cooking gear like rice cooker, crockpot stuff I don't use every day but do use. I even found a spot on it to plug in my toaster oven--I am so thrilled with this. Also the area around the pc was grody because Dorothy's living there so lot's of scrubbing. It is so nice to have that area **** and span--and her spot is gone so no more her on the counter.I have relocated the old girl to our spare bedroom and she loves it and hasn't made any messes since she's been in there. I did find a litterbox that was even lower to the ground than the last one I found-- maybe that's what is helping. (Hallelujah) We leave the door open and she just stays in there.
St. Patrick's day I asked for off so my Mom and I had some fun-- we went to see Cinderella then had lunch at an Irish pub in town that was having it's first st patty's day celebration and I went back later to hear our local pipers--they're scottish but really good and hey-- everyone's Irish on St. Patty's right? It was kind of a bummer though because we go up to Kells in Portland some years and I should have gone this year--it is Huge and fun but husband put off taxes so he wanted to get them done. If I'd been smart I would have just gone up there by myself and scooted down to our capitol the next day because I needed to be there for lobby day with our union. That was kind of awesome--we went around in small groups to talk to senators and congressmen about upcoming bills like first day sick pay for the whole state, unionizing the marijuana industry, (it's legal come July) $15 minimum wage (in it's very early stages) etc. I got a ride from a local rep and kind of had an epic fail when we got back to town- I forgot my book in his car so called him and he was looking for somewhere to eat and there was a 5 guys really close to his hotel so I ended up eating with him there. I was hungry and had some running around to do after that and I just thought he'd like some company--they're alone a lot on the road. Saved 1/2 my fries anyway. Good lord though--700 something calories for a cheeseburger. It was good but I realized something after-- I'd rather have a burger I made any day. Haven't worked out much, need to get back on the ball today. Thinks I'll ride my bike to work today as well because it looks like rain the rest of the week.
Really ahve to run-- I hope I don't kill the thread again!
