When checking your reservation online, there will either be a Cancel button, a Modify button, or both. We had a room-only bounceback, but no Modify button. I had to book a new reservation and cancel the bounceback separately.

Yeah, just the cancel option for ours. Whomever is in charge of promotional rollouts needs to be fired. This is pure insanity.

Yes, the Canadian 2015 fall free dining offer has the following dates:

Book by August 7, 2015.

Offer valid at select Disney Resort hotels for arrivals most nights:

August 15 – October 2, 2015
October 25 – October 31, 2015
November 8 – November 19, 2015
December 15 – December 21, 2015

I think part of the reason they did not open it up for Disney Visa card holders first is because they knew there was going to be very limited availability and did not want everything or all of the preferred bookings to sell out to just the Visa card holders. Therefore, they opened it up for everyone.

What I think will happen is that you will see more rooms open up later. People will cancel. You may not end up with 100 percent what you wanted but hopefully something close.

I need to thank whoever was posting this morning at about 5.30am - thanks to you, my husband and I nabbed POR garden view August 30-Sept 10. We were originally booked at AoA Little Mermaid. I then quickly texted my TA, waking her up and within minutes we had two identical reservations. Oops! Should have waited for the TA. Nevermind, we cancelled the new reservation and we're set to go! So excited. Saving about $800, we already had watermarks and more tickets. I'm just left wondering why I applied for my Disney Visa a couple of months back ;-)

Seriously though, even though I think I only posted the once, I can't thank this thread enough!!!

This might be a silly question but we already have an existing reservation. If I call at some point today should I be okay with getting the offer? I know they have certain amounts of rooms available but surely they wouldn't sell out in one day?

This is exactly what happened to me when the Summer offer came out. I had an existing reservation at BCV and called around 10am and by then, everything was gone. Do yourself a favor and get online or on the phone if you want the FD offer or the new late summer offer. Good luck!

From everything I've read googling reviews, people put Pop above all the all stars. I was originally booking sports to save a few bucks and then everything I read favored Pop in terms of layout, transportation, etc.

We stayed in POP last year and LOVED it! I just don't know if we loved it enough to spend an additional $230 on top of the $270 for tickets. I mean, worst case, we don't like Sports as much as POP right? I mean, it won't be terrible either way because it's Disney, right? Please reassure me! lol.

I think we'll be switching from POP to Sports. How cool is it to be on the All Stars properties?

I took my boys years ago, and we liked it. POP is probably better.

$400 mo better? Prob not.

As expected, our existing reservation (Beach Club) is not included during the dates included in this offer...my TA was emailing me at 6AM saying if I wanted to upgrade to a club level room and change my dates, I could take advantage of the offer...hmmm...Being able to have the FD would have saved us around $850, but $500 more for the Club level Lagoon view, plus $$$ to change my air reservations...hmmmm...that would mean FD would have COST us MORE!!! HA HA HA

NOPE...staying in the room we already have reserved...and hoping that maybe, just maybe, the silver lining will be that if we're there when there isn't a FD offer, MAYBE the crowds will be a little less...who knows...I can dream.

I'm in the same boat at the same resort. Keep checking maybe someone will cancel and we'll get lucky!

This is our first year book with a TA and while I know she will get us the deal as she was trying at 6 am, the waiting to hear back is so hard! I'm just glad I'm not on the phone trying to book. We have to get two rooms due to party size so I'm glad she is calling and not me!

What about if you already have the reservation? We booked the room and added the Dining Plan but now I just want to take advantage of the FREE Dining and remove the paid for Dining. Think I will be OK to just wait until the madness has died down to call and alter?

It doesn't work that way....while you may feel that all they're doing is exchanging the paid for free dining, in reality if there is no free dining room available you will not be able to add it to an existing reservation. That's the sad part, people don't get this very important point so they book a room in anticipation, but all it does is tell Disney that this particular hotel is booking well and doesn't need the incentive of free dining so they limit the number of free dining rooms.

The good news is, if they do it like last year, after ya'll cancel all those rooms that were a holding place, more rooms will become available and Disney MIGHT tag some of them as free dining.

My mother just booked cbr for free dining about 2 hours ago! She went and checked her email and to print off her confirmation. This is what it says:

So I have a question. Aren't the free dining dates released the same time as room discounts? Since they didn't release any room discounts does this mean that they probably aren't offering them? As of right now my travel agent is still saying she's trying to get me in for our week, at Port Orleans, but for the week of October 25th. That isn't included in the deal! She said let's just wait and see what opens up, but I am really concerned that this will leave me out in the cold without anything. Does anybody anticipate they will do room discounts as well at some point? I really would prefer to stay where we are, especially if there's a potential room discount coming. But if not, and the best move for us is to try and change our resort to get the free dining... I am just so stressed I don't know what to do! I need to take a pill!

We stayed at Sports back in 2009 and still had a great time. Personally we prefer POP over anything else, but we could only get Sports this time. 10/2-10/10 for us.

We picked Sports this year and we've been there before, too. You'll be fine! Save the money!!

add my free dining COR 5800 ( have to do 2 rooms)
AoA 5800 ( upgraded to reg dining plan)
Yacht 5900
so my free dining still costs me over $1800....lol
Oh well, Ill wait and see if any room discounts come out...
