A big thanks to cinmell, davale4, and Trisha for all of the great pics :goodvibes.

I'll be at the villas (2br/std) starting tomorrow. :goodvibes

Have a great trip :wizard:.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to post in this forum again! I have enjoyed reading all the updates to the Grand Floridian! My family and I have stayed here previously, and I am just thrilled to be coming back!! We have stayed off site at the Waldorf and our last trip was at Animal Kingdom. We are making our fist Winter trip in December and decided to return to the lovely GF. I can't wait to see the beautiful Christmas decorations and all the changes to the room refurbishments! I also bought our tickets to our very first Mickeys very merry Christmas party!!!!:cool1: This trip will also be our fist using My Disney Experience and using Magic Bands There is so much to learn!! Thanks for all the great information everyone continues to post on this forum!

How exciting....Disney at Christmas time is amazing, you will have a great time ::yes::. All the resorts, parks, and DTD are beautifully decorated and MVMCP is alot of fun. We've been twice in December and while I love going any time of year, December/Christmas time is probably my favorite :santa:.

We are taking a break and renting a cabana in the morning. We have reservations at Narcoosees (which I confused with V&A's reservation) and that's all we are doing!

Looking forward to tomorrow!

Enjoy the cabana.....sounds like a great way to spend the morning :cloud9:.

Hey, mickeynut and BlueSkies!!:wave2:

BTW..your super multi quoting is approaching the size of MickeyNut's super duper multi quotes...lol!!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

How awesome is it about the extra bedding in the deluxe rooms?! I keep forgetting to check out the website to see if max occupancy limits have changed. If someone is in CL right now, I'd love it if they had a chance to ask.:flower3:

I agree :thumbsup2. We are considering possibly going down for a long weekend next spring for Mother's Day, and while the CR is at the top of the list since we've never stayed there, I keep thinking about a deluxe queen RPC room :rolleyes1 (especially after seeing pics ;)).

This is great, thanks for sharing :flower3:.

Alas, all visits to WDW must come to an end, and our last full day has begun.

Once again, the GFR's CMs have been superb, with many going out of their extra-busy way to make our stay even more magical. [We thank them by name each time in written letters/e-mails to Disney Guest Relations or Norm Noble. And then we "thank them" again.]

The Magic Kingdom is calling this morning, and a V&A reservation will end our final evening.:cool1:

To all those who are here: keep enjoying your stay!

To those who will be arriving in the weeks and months ahead: may your countdown pass quickly.

All the best. :thumbsup2

Have a great last day and enjoy V&A's :wizard:.

Thanks so much for all the updates , photos and videos from everyone who is at the grand! Love seeing them. Safe travels to all!

k&a&c Bell service phoned for me, he knew front desk # they have the phone number.

Thanks everyone on the information regarding room service. Hubby and I will be arriving at night and after a long day at work and then a flight we aren't sure we will be wanting to go out to eat. Good to know that Gasparilla's is also open 24 hours.

cinmell - thanks for the lounge photos, do you mind if I snag them for the first page?:)

I cannot like those turquoise velour chairs, yikes!:sad2: The rest is OK, a bit bland (except for the loud carpet, lol) but the chairs, yeesh. Not much of a fan of the hard backed chairs, either, but I don't draw back in horror when I see them.:rotfl2:

Thanks for the video, too, I'm going to check it out when I get finished.

LOL - thanks for that, I was wondering if I was the only one who ended up with pots and pans.;)

WDW Info has just posted some new monorail hours info & I thought I'd post it here because there are so many of us wondering about it.

Thanks, I'll add this to the first page.:thumbsup2

Ditto on the photo thanks!:goodvibes

Exciting about the deluxe rooms, right?!:yay: Good luck with the May plans, I hope they work out. We really enjoyed our trip in May a couple years ago.

Christmas is definitely DD's favorite time in the World, and probably second fave for me - after October.

k&a&c Bell service phoned for me, he knew front desk # they have the phone number.

OK - gotcha. Well, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt.;) Sorry, we rarely have this kind of issue with the actual GF CMs, but I can't say it has never happened. Someone with less than a magical attitude, for sure. I love the "well, you have a fold out"!:rolleyes2

Here is a video of our room.

I apologize in advance for the video. I took a quick video when we arrived and it never occurred to me that I would be posting it so I am moving a bit quick in it and maybe a bit blurred at times. Sorry!

Queen Deluxe Main Building

Balcony View from Queen Deluxe Main Building

Just watched, thanks for posting these!! Feels like we are there.:lovestruc The sofa is positioned more like I'm used to, I guess I was seeing things in the photos - looked like the sofa was situated the opposite way. Those triangular rooms are a bit different, but I like the interesting angles.

Is the shower curtain really short? It sure looked it in the video, but it was a quick shot of it.

Loved the balcony view, VGF doesn't cover up nearly as much of the lagoon as I thought. Still miss seeing the Wedding Chapel, but the overall effect is not as glaring as I imagined.

Is the noise on the balcony video the construction from the Poly, or are they power washing something at the Grand? If the former, I hope it doesn't continue the rest of your trip.:flower3:

Enjoy your lovely room, have a magical time.pixiedust:

The shower curtain is VERY short! I figured they only had one length but we asked if they had a longer one available and they said yes and sent one to our room. However, it was the same size, LOL. There are little suction cups on the ends of the liner that help a bit.

We can not hear construction from the Poly. The noise may have been the water from the kids water area. You can't hear it with the balcony slider closed. You can hear the pool party from the room too but it doesn't bother us.

Hi all!:wave2:

We just checked in. I got exactly what I requested. We are in a dormer room on the 5th floor of Boca Chica. I will say that I was not a big fan of the new room designs based on pics, but in person it really is gorgeous! Could there be a bit more Disney in the room? Yes. But it looks an feels luxurious. It really is looking to compete with the 4 Seasons or Waldorf.
Check-in was a breeze, our turndown Mousekeeper couldn't be nicer, and we're very happy here, even coming off a glorious, week-long CL stay at YC.

My one complaint? Storage. Thank goodness we're only here for 2 nights and only are living out of our carry-ons. I don't know where we'd put things for a week's stay!

Overall, he Epcot resorts fulfill our needs better, and we feel that there is our home, but The Grand is gorgeous, and I'd return anytime! :flower3:

LOL about the shower curtain! Well, you tried, anyway.

I do hear the water play area, but there is a muted noise, almost like a jackhammer - but it may just be my video player.:teeth:

We loved that room location, stayed in a std. room next door and the pool noises did not bother us, either. And I love hearing the music in the evening, we propped the door open so we could listen while in the room.:lovestruc

Hey, Scott, good to hear from you. I've read a couple of your reports over on the Y&BC FAQ, sounds like you've had a wonderful time and some great meals.:goodvibes

Thanks for your impressions of the room, glad you are enjoying it. Storage has always posed a problem at the Grand, I don't know why they can't get it right.:headache: We usually just ask for extra hangers and put everything in the closet.

Which of the Epcot resorts is your favorite? We very much love the YC, although the room decor in BC is more to our taste. Not that it matters, as they are preparing for a refurb.

Have a Grand time!:wizard:

Enjoy the cabana.....sounds like a great way to spend the morning :cloud9:.

You're welcome! Trisha was kind enough to post them. And yes, we did enjoy the cabana and enjoyed a very nice meal at Narcoosees with the kids!

BC1836 it was such a pleasure to meet you folks today! We would have loved to spend more time talking. Hopefully we will meet again as it seems we frequent the Grand around the same time.

We hope you had a wonderful time at V&A tonight! Safe travels tomorrow.
