As far as the NB shoes goes, check the display shoes if they are out of your size. We didn't get to the expo until the last day and they were out of almost all the "normal" sizes I decided to go in anyway and see if I could go up a size into a 10. That was a definite no go but as I was leaving I decided to check the display shoes and they had my size on display, I asked if I could buy the display pair and they said I could. So many other people walked right by those shoes and never thought to look at the size so I guess it was meant to be.

Yay! I found this thread! I'm doing Dumbo Double Dare but if I knew how cute the 5K medal was going to be, I would have signed up for that too. OH well. Please add me to the list! Good luck with training to everyone!

So I take it a lot of people dress in costumes? We're walking it with the kids (DD12,DD9) and looking for ideas. Since the medals are Lilo & Stitch and DD12 is a huge Stitch fan, I thought of the Hawaiian theme. I couldn't find a Gantu or Hamsterviel costume

I think there will be lots of people in Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, and leis, for every distance.

We actually decided on our 'costumes' before the theme was announced, which doesn't really bother me as I'm not a huge Stitch fan anyway, and my parents (who will be running with us) have never even heard of Lilo & Stitch

Our costumes are more of 'inspired by' than actually trying to look like the character. I have made up matching personalised tech shirts for all of us according to the theme, with a picture of the character we're inspired by and a slogan. Mum and I will be wearing sparkle skirts in an appropriate colour, and basic accessories like ears. Not sure how much the guys will get into the costuming, but they'll at least be wearing the shirts. For the 5k, we'll be Tigger, Piglet and Christopher Robin. For the 10k, we'll be Alice, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit.

Thanks for letting us know. I like that the 10k looks like it is pretty much all in the parks. The vendor list for the expo is kind of lacking but that just means less time and money spent there which I'm ok with. Kind of wish I had signed for Pasta in the Park but I always figure it's not worth the money.

I am SO excited!!! The guide looks amazing and official confirmation that we get to run onto the Angel Stadium field!

And I might have teared up a little bit just seeing the finish line route with the DDD and C2C medal stops on it. I am dying to get those around my neck!

Me too! I guess if there's a few of us that haven't received anything it's feasible that they're just sending out a batch at a time and ours are still coming.

Me three. I haven't received any race e-mails from RD for this event. But I can clearly see my active.com registration, so I am not worried.

Don't worry if you didn't get the email. I've been running these events since 2011 and this is the first time I've ever gotten race emails. Used to annoy me, and now I laugh at it. Everything in the email should be available on their website as well.

And if anyone is interested, I can always forward the email along!

C2C...how do you get the wristband? I did the WDW Half in January but didn't think I would do more, so I didn't check the C2C box. The FAQs say that's OK. When I signed up for this, I believe I did check the C2C box. The guide talks about a wristband. Anyone know how you get that?

You'll get the wristband at the Expo when you pick up your race packet, etc. The same will go for those running Dumbo.

I've done that several times already, and it has all been in order. So unless the registration gremlins have been wreaking havoc, it should be fine.
