In the past you could, originally it was 1TS credit and then a couple of years ago it went up to 2TS credits. I don't know why they wouldn't continue to do that . . . but it is Disney so until they announce it for sure who knows.

We go to the CP every time we are there while it is going on (which is most years!). We have done the package twice, both last minute, booked after we got to WDW. One year it was Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. It was great. The music was neat and the belly dancer invited the kids to join in the dance...very cute. The other time was Coral Reef, definitely more romantic and grown up. We were seated next to the aquarium so watched the sealife float by as we dined. We enjoyed the food at both places. It is definitely worth it to be able to go right in and sit down for the processional. Sometimes the wait in line is two hours or longer and then you take whatever seat you can get. Last time we had perfect seats, about 3 rows back, two seats over from center aisle. We are both musicians so enjoyed being that close to the orchestra. One time we were seated next to the acter who plays the big German guy in Indiana Jones. He even let us get a picture with him. We are going again this December so I plan to book ahead of time so we have more of a choice.

Jerseygal, we went to our first CP in 2012. We book the dining package and we ate at Chefs de France. We went to the second showing - about 6:30pm, I think. I think this was the perfect time as it was getting dark aand I think it is prettier then. We had a really good meal at Chefs. The French onion soup was very good. Our narrator was Blair Underwood and we really liked him. The CP processional itself was so beautiful. This was our last day at WDW and this, followd by Illuminations was wonderful.

We are also hoping for a 6:30 show followed by Illuminations!

We are also doing Candlelight Processional on our last evening! CAN'T WAIT!

How many shows do they do a night? How long is the show?

Do the crowds have a negative impact on walking through WS?

I love the idea of watching CP followed by Illuminations... This is our first time in the parks in Dec - very excited!!

It will be our first time at WDW during the holidays...we've been in January after the holiday but never before. Looking forward to hopefully 12/20 Processional with 2nd show dinner at Garden Grill beforehand. Not that we don't like the other places, we do GG for the character interaction

We ADORED the CP. We did the package on the DDP Christmas Eve 2012. Gary Sinse was the narrator - it was amazing. My kids loved it. Cant wait to book again!

That year there were 3 shows.

Is purchasing one of the dining packages for Candlelight Processional after Christmas as imperative as it is before Christmas?

My fiancé and I will be in the parks 12/30-1/4 for our honeymoon. We have never seen Candlelight Processional and would love to! However, we will be using the regular dining plan and already plan to eat at two of the signature restaurants. I would hate to use our dining credits for Candlelight Processional if we don't have to, but would consider paying out of pocket for it if necessary. Thoughts?

Oyyy, been planning our December trip since March (well... longer as when we went last Sept for MNSSHP, I knew this year we'd be back for MVMCP) when I booked our room. Well, now that airfare has come out, I'm considering moving our trip to pre-Thanksgiving, but it sounds like if I do that we'll miss CP... Oyyy.

We have gone many times and enjoyed them all. I am also glad that list was wrong. Hoping to see Trace Adkins this time. In the past we have seen Whoppi Goldberg (wonderful), Rita Moreno (also wonderful) Gary Sinese (ditto), Neil Patrick Harris, Marley Matlin, Blare Underwood and several others. They wre all good!

If you don't have the package be prepared to wait on line for up to one hour to get in. The standby line can be long and it can get cold, but it is worth the wait. Enjoy!

My parents and I (along with DBFF) went to CP on Christmas Eve in 2013 with Steven Curtis Chapman as the narrator. We did the lunch package at Biergarten and we had a reservation for the 4:00pm show. For us it was a good time, because it gave us time to do other things before illumnations.

I loved it and it was so moving (especially on Christmas Eve). We sat about 5 rows up close to the center.

Our lunch reservation was for 12:15pm and we weren't done with lunch until 2:00pm, my BFF and I had to go to Japan to get our pearls we did earlier in the day, while Mom and Dad got in the line for the packages. We hopped in line around 2:45pm and we didn't have to wait long for them to let us in. When we went to Japan in the morning to do our pearls (this was around 10:30 am), there were people already standing waiting in the stand-by line.

I hope that helps...it is definitely worth the money and worth the time waiting.

Last December was my first time doing the Candlelight Processional and it was just plain awesome! We sat a little off center, midway through the bleachers and it was perfect. Definitely do the dinner package as the other line was long and you waster half your day standing in it I would think! We ate at Via Napoli for lunch and it was perfect, absolutely delicious and very filling- almost too much!

You will have the best time, ENJOY!

In 2013 we had dinner in the Biergarten I was skeptical, but I must say the food was excellent, the music and entertainment fun. The little kids and parents danced on the dance floor and they also had a German Christmas Storry teller there! The storytellers tell the Christmas celebration stories from each country. They are great to see and ver interesting. We managed to see storytellers from Hanukkah, Italy, and Germany on this trip!

Same here! Great experience at the Biergarten for CP in early December last year.
