Okay, I'm looking out the window at the freaking snow that is currently falling at an alarmingly rapid pace and the only thing that comforts me is that in a little over two weeks, I'll be hanging out poolside with a very fruity and probably very alcoholic drink. Are there palm trees? Tell me there are palm trees....

I found a picture with palm trees for you on the first page. The trees are surrounding the pirate slide just outside of the main pool.

@natebenma the filtered water is in a dispenser just like the oj and iced tea

The CM's filled the water bottles because you have to move the dispenser in order to fill a large water bottle.

Thanks!

:)

Thank you all for the wonderful information on this thread! Our family will be at the BC April 28- May 2 staying in a Gardenview room. I see a few references to requesting a renovated room. How do I do that? My online check-in selections included upper floor (which I checked) but nothing about a renovated room. Thanks in advance!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.

:cool1:

The rooms on the 5th floor (club level), 4th floor and some on the third have been renovated. As others have indicated, in addition to the online checkin selection, you can call in to Disney's Central Reservations Office and add "Upper floor- renovated room if possible" to your reservation.

:thumbsup2

Hello all! I've been avoiding the DIS as I had no trips planned and none on the horizon ... Until this week, when I agree to accompany my mom to the BC this October! We'll be there from the 8th to the 11th in a garden room; I've stayed at BW and YC in the past but never BC, so this is exciting! Plus during F&W!!! Can't wait to read all the info here and get even more geared up for our quick getaway!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

Great time to be at the World!

:goodvibes:

We check in to the BCV after AKV(both studios) on the 22nd....anything specific I need to look out for? I'm hoping to be able to request a nice ground floor studio room when we check-in.

After 20yrs, I am soooo excited to finally be staying here!!!

Have a fantastic trip!!!

:cool2:

Wow Dee!! Lucky friend!!!

Yes, lucky and deserving friend!

Yesterday here (west Tennessee) was gorgeous! 84 degrees, blue skies, and a nice breeze. My dog and I spent some time in the hammock in my backyard, but there are no palm trees or SAB. Now we have to pay for that nice weather with severe weather later today. I hope we don't have tornadoes and hail like I've been seeing on the news this morning! I'm SO ready for vacation, but mine is still pretty far away:(

Ticket Alert!

Hello everyone! Just a quick post to let you know that tickets for the holiday events (Halloween and Christmas parties) are now on sale. I just purchased our tickets to MVMCP for our upcoming stay.

I would much rather see the "snow" on Main Street than the snow that we woke up to this morning in our yard!

Ooh...I smell a magical upgrade!!! I'm dreaming!!!

And that would work out perfectly! I check out the day you check in, so I will be happy to accept that magical suite upgrade the week before you! But don't expect it to be ready for you early because I'm requesting a late check out-lol:) Highly unlikely, but it's nice to dream. I'm still dreaming of staying in Cinderella's castle!

Our trip is getting really close now. :yay: I just received this email from Disney Destinations:

Confirm your check-in information

Hello Susan,

Congratulations! You've completed your Disney Resort hotel online check-in service.

And now, for the first time, you may be able to skip the front desk when you arrive.

Since your all-in-one MagicBand has been shipped to your home and is also your Disney Resort room key, you may head straight to your room or even the Parks (if you linked Theme Park admission to your MagicBands). It's a quick and easy way to start the magic the moment you arrive!

Just ensure you've completed your online check-in with:
• Your estimated Resort arrival and departure times
• A credit card you want to use for incidentals and other charges
• Your mobile phone number and/or email address
By providing a phone number or email address we can text or email you on the day of your arrival with your room number. Our Bell Services team will be ready to assist you with your luggage upon arrival.
We'll contact you when your room is ready and you can go directly to your room. If your room is not ready when you arrive, simply enjoy the Parks or the Resort and we will let you know as soon as your room is available.

I really hope that we get a text to tell us our room number. I'm hoping that it arrives before we get to the resort, so I can check the location before I arrive. My only request was a full balcony so I'm hoping we get it.

Ichabody-Should you also keep track of the mental hugs we all give Teena when she gives us such great suggestions or answers our questions? In that case I've got about 100 so far for her!

We magically received a text while waiting in line at ME 'Welcome Home! Your room is not quite ready yet. ..' I deleted it but that was the gist. We went to the BC, got some snacks, had the kids change into their bathing suits and were about to bring luggage to bell services when I got the text that our room was ready and what #! It was fabulous. We dropped our luggage in the room and hit SAB! What a great way to start the day.

Dee SNOW! UGH!!

I've started a PTR for our August trip, I don't have much done but you're all invited to come meet my family. And for the August BC/YC peeps, if you see me around SAB say hi! We're friendly folk :daisy:

I didn't make it to your new PTR yet, but I did read your OKW trip report. :) We stayed in a 2 BR villa in Feb and I loved the huge villa.

I hope that you plan plenty of pool time when you are at the BC because I can tell from your last trip that your family really likes to swim. :)

OKW was great, I'm so glad im not cooking though :) I have a feeling most of the days will be spent by the pool and evenings at the park. I appreciate your input since we have very similar resort taste.
My DH will not be happy if he can't enjoy SAB, and thanks for checking out my TR :) every time I mention WL to DH he said it's great but the pool at BC will make all the kids happy

PAS130 ... I was just looking at the pics of the condo we rented at Anna Maria Island and thought of you ... we check in on Princess Lily's birthday (7/11). I can't wait! After not really enjoying our beach trip in California (surf was too rough, beach not nice - but we loved the area and the house we rented), I'm hoping we made the right choice this time. Jeanne wants a quiet surf, good shell hunting for Lily and somewhere easy to get around.

So has work started on the BCV then? I guess it won't affect us on the 22nd and no rooms will be complete?
