2014/2015 Beach and Yacht Club FAQ, Friends & Fun, Sept 2014-Mayl 2015

My mother and I checked in on Saturday and promptly had a handful of pixie dust dumped on our heads (not literally, though I wouldn't have objected if they did). Not only did they tell us that we had been upgraded from a Garden View to a Lagoon View, but to Club Level as well. We are still looking around wondering if we're in the right place.

So far the Beach Club has been utterly magical, even though I haven't found a reason to go to SAB just yet.

I'm actually thinking that this is the long-awaited "Forestry Expansion" of the Living with the Land attraction.

We aren't quite 'home yet', we are on our second leg of this trip at WL, but we were in room 475 in the Villas.
I may have some more pictures of the actual room, and I can post those and can do a mini review of our stay

So, so fabulous! What a wonderful start to your vacation..... I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on CL as we are staying there in March. Hope you enjoy every moment.... yay for pixie dust!

They sell 12 packs of water in the YC gift shop, too, which would be more convenient for a YC guest to shop at. I don't remember what the price was except that it was the same price as the water at the Marketplace.

Hey cool! We've purchased the individual Brita bottles but something has come up and we may be better off using disposable (womp womp), so it's nice to know there are options closer than the Hess Station.

We're everywhere! Well, to be fair, I haven't found many in Ann Arbor, but, well, there is this tiny University of Michigan or something in town?!

I saw on a different thread that someone posted that All Pools are closed at 8pm for the next couple of winter weeks. Does anyone know if this applies to the Beach/Yacht quiet pools?

The poster did not specify which resort they stayed at so I'm wondering if this is just at the Value resorts since all of their pools have life guards.

Just an update to a question I asked a little bit back regarding a dry sauna or steam room at the fitness center.

I spoke directly to someone in the Ship Shape fitness center, she said that when they refurbed the center about 2 years ago they removed both of these rooms to make more room for massage rooms.

So they are no longer available. oh well.

Just back from four great days at the Beach Club. Requested a refurbished room but didn't get one so can't report. Had a lovely magical time and saw Teena. Only bad thing my daughter lost her pin trading bag somewhere between the room and the international gateway. I filed a lost and found report and have hopes we will get it back. I lost my wallet on our last trip and it was mailed back to me a few weeks later.
