Body lotion is in the rooms, it's the H2O brand, last few times I've stayed regular it's been a grapefruit bergamot fragrance, I can't remember if club level is a different fragrance or not.

Thanks! Can I request more if I run out? I use everyday.

You can request more of any of the body care products. Mouse keeping was very generous and I never needed to request.

We have two older teen girls, 19 & 17 so we never have enough toiletries. I usually will just ask a housekeeper and they will generally load me up. Frequently we will return to the room early afternoon and it will not have been cleaned yet. I'll catch someone and ask to do a simple towel swap and they usually fix me a goodie bag as a thank you. This way we can have time in the room without having to have them in there cleaning and they get finished a little quicker. I sometimes take the extras home wit hem and donate them to the churches for the goodie boxes they make for the soldiers or for the women's shelter

Just returned from the BC today. Catching that 6:35AM bus the morning after doing F&W nights live was ROUGH. I need a nap.

BUT enough of that nonsense! I booked through rundisney and they only offered us standard view. When I arrived I asked if we could possibly have one of the rooms overlooking a roof but also stormalong bay in the distance. To my surprise we had already been upgraded to a garden view, and then she switched us to a view of the courtyard and the boardwalk off to the left with a full balcony. It was ready at 10am. Loved it! (Suzette? Susann? I could kick myself for forgetting her name). I really thought the room was in great shape too, with only a ding in the wall along the corner (that I'm sure is from luggage) but the furnishings were not scratched or anything. SAB was great and we had no trouble getting chairs. The weather was PERFECT - excepting that little 10 minute downpour at MNSSHP. At least my wet little mermaid costume was authentic, then.

We did have a little trouble with magicbands...they randomly stopped working twice. Once at 11pm when we were all wet and cold from leaving the pool only to find we could not get into the room. Then, only my band stopped working the next day and it cut my pool time in half. I started getting a liiiiittle testy then but pulled it together.

F&W was amazing, as always. CM's were so friendly at the booths and late nights live - even moreso than I am accustomed to on our trips! I won't name names here to protect the innocent...but we were told that late nights live was sold out for the evening and a friendly CM managed to get us in ;)

The TOT 10 miler did not go quite as planned - injury a week before the race made me wince from mile 1 on and I had to stop a couple of times because it was just too much! But, I finished at a decent pace. Now onto the Princess half marathon in Feb. We are already booked at AKL and CR, but I am considering doing the wine and dine half in Nov and staying on the YC side again ::yes::

So, I am exhausted. But the trip was fantastic and BC was the perfect resort. So to sum up, my little (21 year old) brother: "we sure go to Epcot a lot."

Do you guys also walk to the Studios? Or is that just a pain?

I will have a scooter, but my guys (husband and son(19)) will be walking. I've read numerous threads about how far it is, but how far does it feel?

We will be at Beach Club Villas in December 14 - 19.

I didn't have your exact dates on the list, so I will add them.

We have done both. Our trips are in July, so the walk is pretty hot, but we usually will beat the boat by walking at a brisk pace. In the morning we usually take the boat to conserve our energy.

:thumbsup2

Well all our plans changed this week LOL so now we will be at BC Feb 28 - Mar 7 :) It will be me, dh, still waiting confirmation from MIL (if not her then my 20yo daughter), ds (14) and her highness DD (7).

I am the only one who has ever been to WDW resort before. My DH and MIL are from California so they grew up in Disneyland. This will be a first for them all but me LOL

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1:

We are booked for the Beach Club CL June 6 - June 13. First time returning to WDW since 2009. We stayed at POR last time and decided to splurge a little for my daughter's 16th bday....

One question...can't seem to find a link to pics of the refurbished Concierge Lounge at the Beach Club...any links?

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:woohoo:

Here is the link from the CL thread.

I don't really know the poster and haven't asked for permission to permanently add them to the thread. I am hoping to have some additional pictures from a guest who is returning from vacation this weekend.

:thumbsup2

We shall see, but I have a suspicion the color palette will be in the navy blue to ocean blue family with some yellow. I think if done correctly it will look nice.

We shall see. Have seen 4 BC renovations over the years. Hope it is good this time too!

Rebecca

Maybe a splash of beige and white as well!

Hmmm... Something like this?

I totally forgot that we stumbled across this during our trip.

OK ... I have a few questions I hope its ok to plough on in. We're close to our trip now :-) Much needed after an absolutely grime time at work and escaping redundancy by the skin of my teeth a few weeks ago. We had our "dream" trip booked to WL, celebrating 2 x 40th birthdays and 15th WA, and first trip for our children. The idea of no feature pool meant the switch to BC. Only now I'm getting twitchy about the idea of construction there and wondering if its going to impact our stay ....?
Next question - I didn't realise at first that there was no food court option. So whats our best bet for breakfast, we're early risers at the best of times and I'm guessing with the time difference from the UK we're likely to have a few very early starts before we adjust. I had some faint idea I'd heard on a podcast that something was closing and something else temporarily being used for "proper" breakfast on the boardwalk. Did I imagine that?
And anything else you think a first time family with a 4&7 year old NEEDS to know :-) I've ploughed through a reasonable amount of the posts but there is so much!
thank you :-)

:welcome:

When is your trip- I don't think I have you on the Be Our Guest list.

:)

On Page 1 of this thread there is a lot of dining info/pictures about the options available at the resorts (Post 7). There are lots of reviews of breakfast at Captain's Grille, a sitdown restaurant with a buffet (no characters) as well as a la carte ordering.

There are also a few links about the Beach Club Marketplace and the options there.

The Ale and Compass lounge also offers some selections for breakfast in the mornings.

:)

On the restaurant board, there is a sticky that explains the food choices for the Epcot area resorts, because so many people have the same concern you raise about no food court.

Also, temporarily, Flying Fish has breakfast because Kouzzina closed (leaving no sit down breakfast option at the Boardwalk).

Thanks for the info!

Here's a photo of her from this past winter wearing the Minnie hat I knitted for her. If I'd known how cold it would be in Florida when we were there, I'd have brought it along.

Bionic Baby is adorable and I love the hat!!!

Yes, something exactly like that! Thanks for posting. :goodvibes Did we stumble? It was late, after a long day....

Natebenma, I have to say you make a great host.

I'm sitting here in San Juan now waiting for my wife to wake up and leave for the Disney Magic. We left BCV yesterday. I have to say that as a BWV owner, it had always been or favorite resort, but BCV is gong to tear me in two. Each resort has its particular appeal, all different positives, no negatives. I love BWV for that side of the Boardwalk and the views from our room, but my god, walking out of my room and being in EPCOT in like 5 minutes, during F&W? Heaven. And what more needs to be said about SAB? Beach Club is also near and dear to us, since it was where we spent or second ever family trip to WDW. I did find one thing odd about the one bedroom set up. While the separate room for the toilet seems to be a good idea, one still needs to walk through the shower room to get to it. So you still have to either wait for someone to get out of the shower before you enter or leave, if privacy is an issue.

YES YES YES! LOVE those pictures! That is exactly what I was imagining. Colorful and airy and a little whimsical without being overdone. Where on Earth did you see that?? Hoping it was some kind of model area for the new design....thanks for posting.

Dee -

I completely forgot that I had taken a picture of the breakfast menu at Ale & Compass. It is a little blurry, but maybe less blurry than the one you have. Feel free to use it.

Awwww... thank you so much!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for your comments. Glad you enjoyed your stay at BCV.

Have a fantastic cruise :beach:

I love the colors and patterns, too. Blue is my favorite color and I love the shade on the door.

I hesitate to say exactly where it is or was located (I don't know if the test décor is still in place) because it was in a guest room hallway and I don't want to cause any necessary traffic there. I do think that they were testing some different patterns/colors for the refurb.

Thank you!!! SO much easier to read than what I have! I am going to add this to my Ale and Compass thread.

I had read the BC rooms were going to be renovated. We are planning a trip for Aug/Sept, 2015. Will the renovations be done by then? Thanks for any help.

The Ale and Compass is such a dark place that it is hard to get good pictures. I tried taking a few others, but everything is either too dark or has the reflection of the camera flash. I finally figured out how to turn off the flash for this photo. ;)

We don't know.

I don't think we will be able to estimate when the renovations will be complete until months from now, once the work is started and we have an idea of how long it is taking to complete each section of the resort.

It will likely be at least a year for the complete renovations.

I continue to update the very first post on this thread with any confirmed information I have about the renovations. As soon as the room renovations actually start (should be any time now), I will update that news.

:)

So excited! We've booked for next Aug (7-21) in GV room. It's our first time to WDW, not looking forward to the long flight from the UK but It's gonna be a fabulous amazing experience for me and my family! Love reading all the posts about Beach Club Resort, wanna be there NOW!!!!
