Just returned from the BC today. Catching that 6:35AM bus the morning after doing F&W nights live was ROUGH. I need a nap.
BUT enough of that nonsense! I booked through rundisney and they only offered us standard view. When I arrived I asked if we could possibly have one of the rooms overlooking a roof but also stormalong bay in the distance. To my surprise we had already been upgraded to a garden view, and then she switched us to a view of the courtyard and the boardwalk off to the left with a full balcony. It was ready at 10am. Loved it! (Suzette? Susann? I could kick myself for forgetting her name). I really thought the room was in great shape too, with only a ding in the wall along the corner (that I'm sure is from luggage) but the furnishings were not scratched or anything. SAB was great and we had no trouble getting chairs. The weather was PERFECT - excepting that little 10 minute downpour at
MNSSHP. At least my wet little mermaid costume was authentic, then.
We did have a little trouble with magicbands...they randomly stopped working twice. Once at 11pm when we were all wet and cold from leaving the pool only to find we could not get into the room. Then, only my band stopped working the next day and it cut my pool time in half. I started getting a liiiiittle testy then but pulled it together.
F&W was amazing, as always. CM's were so friendly at the booths and late nights live - even moreso than I am accustomed to on our trips! I won't name names here to protect the innocent...but we were told that late nights live was sold out for the evening and a friendly CM managed to get us in
The TOT 10 miler did not go quite as planned - injury a week before the race made me wince from mile 1 on and I had to stop a couple of times because it was just too much! But, I finished at a decent pace. Now onto the Princess half marathon in Feb. We are already booked at AKL and CR, but I am considering doing the wine and dine half in Nov and staying on the YC side again
So, I am exhausted. But the trip was fantastic and BC was the perfect resort. So to sum up, my little (21 year old) brother: "we sure go to Epcot a lot."
