I'm planning on taking advantage of the 2013 offers and taking my, as yet unborn child, to WDW for our first family holiday. People say I'm crazy but we got married there and have been over 10 times, and I can't wait to introduce him/her to some Disney Magic!

Now the WDTC have told me that at this stage I just book my hotel/ticket package for 2 adults and add the baby on after it's born and there will be no charge for this as infants don't cost anything. Does anyone know if this is true? :confused3 I know they don't need park tickets or get DDP, I just don't want to be charged an amendment fee!

Also I've always really wanted to do a Disney cruise - would this be too much for a 16 month old? Are there any luggage restrictions on board? We'd likely take the cruise at the end of the WDW part and DH and I are big shoppers!

Thanks for your help:goodvibes I want to get this booked before I go on maternity leave!

That is correct you just add the baby on no charge, we done this in 2010.

We took our dd on a 14 night Disney cruise last year when she was 19 months old and she loved it, I didn't find it too much for her.

Not sure about the luggage allowance but we never had any issues and there was me DH DD 19 months and our two teenage DD who do definitely not travel light lol. Hope this helps.

babies under 3 don't count.
you'll just have to request a pack&play at check in or call the resort so they put one in your room. I think it's complimentary.

your main concern will be with the airline. Infants flying in lap are often charged 10% of adult fee, and must be booked with accompanying adult ticket.
So if you buy your flights as part of the package with WDTC then you'll need to include your unborn child or wait until after he/she's born.

For accomodations and DDP, it's as PP said.

I think it's babies under 2, not under 3?

You obviously need to let the airline know about your baby, but we've never been charged for taking under 2s on board. That was with Virgin.
