2013 room rates. Book now or wait?

My family is planning an early June trip to WDW next year. Right now we plan on booking room only at POR. As I understand it I'll need to put down one nights rate as a deposit. Is there any advantage to booking it now, before rates rise for 2013 or has that already happened? I know they released packages for 2013 but I wasn't sure about room only rates. Also, if I book now and rates change, will I pay the higher rate for the nights I haven't paid for yet? Thanks for any hep you can give me.

The release of the vacation packages yesterday set the prices for rooms and dining plans for 2013. They will not go up until 2014. If a discount is released for your resort and dates after you have made your reservation it is up to you to call Disney and ask to have that discount applied.
