2013 Holiday - Ways to Book and strategy

Hi,

We went to Disney World in 2013 and stayed at Saratoga springs for 10 nights and only did Disney.

We would like to go in July 2013 but this time stay in Disney but also stay in International Drive and do both Universal Parks and Sea World.

We plan to come for 14 nights. What is the best method for which ticket you buy. I can see you can get one for both combined but is there cheaper methods?

Now on to the hotels. Is it better to stay in Disney and get taxis to the other parks or cheaper to stay in International Drive for 5 nights and Disney for 9 nights?

Disney do transfers to their hotels from the airport. Do international drive hotels do similar things or what is the best way to get there?

All help and how to book will be very usefull. Last time we booked direct with Disney for hotel and tickets and then BA for flights.

This is just my opinion.

I would book a Disney hotel for the days you will be at Disney World, then transfer to a hotel closer to the other attractions you wish to visit. You can hire a towncar to help you transfer, or take a taxi.

The Orlando Airport has a list of local hotels that offer shuttle service to and from their airport. http://www.orlandoairports.net/marketing/hotels.htm

You would need to buy Disney World tickets. And then the Orlando Flex ticket would probably be the best way to go, it will give you admission to Universal and Sea World for 14 consecutive days.

I'd consider staying on site at Universal for a day or two as well. Staying on site there is totally worth it seeing as how you have early entry to Harry Potter and you get the unlimited express pass when you stay there. Makes touring at universal very easy...and since there are only 3 hotels, you aren't combating 1000s of on site guests for the early hours.
