I am thinking of doing the Backstage Magic trip very late next year.

Rumors are they'll be released late May, but that's only a rumor at this point. Historically, they've been released in late July or early August, but we've been told that this year it will be much earlier.

Any history of releasing deals if you book earlier? We were going to try to do Peru this year but next year is looking more likely. I'm just curious if there are deals offered for early booking ever.

As the trips fill up, the price goes up. If the date you are considering fills up quickly, there is an advantage to booking early. There were only 16 people on our ABD last year, so the price never increased and by waiting we were able to take advantage of a Visa gift card offer. There used to be an early booking discount, but that hasn't been offered for the last few years. I think DU offers an early booking discount if you book through them.

We booked the Greece trip early--and after that saw it steadily go up. So an early booking discount, in essence, for that trip. But it is new, so I imagine the more established trips take longer to fill up so the prices won't jump as much (if at all). We've booked through CostCo which gets you a gift card, so that helps a bit.

I am interested in finding out too! MouseFanDownUnder - I have been looking into the Backstage Tour too and would like to go next year as well (unless I could swing it this year which wouldn't be until this fall or winter).

I've read about several different tours through ABD and they all sound so exciting - it's hard to choose (well, my budget really doesn't leave me much choice ). The Backstage Tour is something I am REALLY interested in and hope to do.

Hi Heaven2dc - I am looking at doing a month long trip to the USA late next year - so am in the very early stages of planning. When I looked up this years dates for the Back stage Magic they were pretty close to what I am thinking for 2013.

I am with you on budget! Figure if I try this trip, and love it...I will start saving for Italy - and may get there within the next 10 years!!!
