2013 Chevron Houston Marathon

Lottery entries were announced today. My girlfriend and I got in. It will be my first FULL marathon (I have run many half marathons since 2009). Anyone else entered?

Not me. I decided in 99 that I would rather run Disney. It had something to do with not being able to finish in 5:30 at that time.

I ran Houston last year a week after disney. It was a very fun race . A lot more spread out crowd support. I'm kind of sad they're the same weekend. But I to signed up for Disney.

I know. Would like to do Disney but this one is a 50-60 min drive from the house.

Congrats on the lottery success!!!

I've run both the half and full Houston events. I really like the setup with the downtown hotels and GRB convention center right there for both the start and finish. Being able to roll out of bed and hit the ground running is convenient.

My BF is in for the 3rd year in a row...he says if he can go under 4:00 this time, he'll skip it in 2014 and do WDW instead...which might be a mess becuase I'm sure I'll want to do Tinker Bell again. 2 Disney trips in the same month (and right after Christmas!!!) is gonna be hard...I should start saving now
