Does anyone know if/when there will be a Deluxe AP or Park Hopper ticket price increase for 2013? Thanks!

There have been rumours but that is it.

Someone posted that they knew a friend who worked for DLR who said they were coming early April with increases across the board but did not sound anything like how prices went up in 2012.

I think all you can do is book what you want now if you are okay with travel plans changing or subscribe to email newsletters from Disney, here, Micechat etc as they will advise likely a few days prior to the price increase taking effect. The only issue with waiting to the last minute is there will be a mad rush to buy them but as long as you are ordering online I am sure you will be okay.

There were also some comments made that Disney stores were running out of tickets and were not getting anymore in for awhile - suggesting to some that new ticket prices will come with them.

We are heading to DLR in a month and I am thinking I will buy our APs any day now. The reason I was holding out was in hopes they would bring back longer day passes but that is doubtful. :(

Thanks for the information. I have been holding out as well. I guess I need to decide soon too.

Sorry...no news yet. My crystal ball is broken at the moment.
I suggest subscribing to the Disney Parks Blog...that is nore than likely where the info will be released.

Will there be an increase? Almost certainly.

When and how much? Probably before summer and who knows how much?

I keep reading the rumors here on the DIS about an April increase. Last year, the increase was towards the end of May, about a week before Memorial Day. I'm hoping for similar timing this year. I keep thinking about why they would increase the prices during one of their slower periods (between Spring Break and summer season). It would have made more sense to increase the prices right before Spring Break (like they did right before summer season last year). Maybe I'm just consoling myself, as my parents have last year's AP voucher that they weren't able to activate. I'm hoping they'll only have to pay for one price increase difference, not two, when they activate them at the end of the month!

As it stands, I keep checking back on the DIS regularly (and follow several sources on FB also). Not only to know how much my parents will have to pay, but also because I have a couple of friends at work that I've promised to inform of price increases.

I have been trying to follow this too! Right now I could get the 5 day hopper pass for $269 and am worried that if I don't hurry up and buy it now, I will get stung with a price increase. Problem is, I didn't want to buy them too early, in case something happens and we aren't able to go...

They usually notify us on Friday of a Sunday price increase. If you don't use them by the end of the year, then you can still use them but you'll have to pay the price difference.

Yes, as long as you know you are going to go eventually, then you can put the cost of what you paid of these tickets towards replacement ones for next year if you can't go before December 31st. I had a CM confirm this with me, that is why they are non refundable as they really never expire, they are always worth at least what you paid for them.
