2013 is a super year for me. I will be turning 40 and my DH and I will be celebrating our tenth anniversary. When DH asked me how I wanted to celebrated and it was a total no brainer. DISNEY BABY!!! He has pretty much given me free reign to do what I want. My only limit is that it has to be during the summer as he is a teacher.

I am thinking two weeks in August with Deluxe Dining and alot of Signature meals.

What would you all do to celebrate such a big year.

Tee Hee, have fun Dimples! Good choice! I did the same last year for my 40th birthday, I chose to go to Disney World! It was lots of fun. It was a year of celebration theme, so I got a birthday button and little birthday package, and free desserts at some restaurants (although being on the dining plan - do you really need MORE dessert?? ).

I pushed past the 40 barrier a couple of years ago, but a WDW trip sounds like a great way to celebrate! I'm not a big Dining Plan person (planning meals ahead just isn't possible with our 2 DDs), but if you're doing a bunch of signature meals it's definitely the way to go! There are some truly awesome dining experiences. If I were you, I'd book a dinner at Victoria & Alberts and do the wine pairing! It's an experience that you will dream about for years!

So, my perfect trip:
10 Days at WDW
1 Dinner at Victoria & Alberts (more if we were sans children!)
Some of the tours that are offered (Railway, Safari, Utilidoor, etc)
7 Day Disney Cruise (preferably with 2 stops at Castaway Cay)

Have fun planning your trip!

Do you like to swim? If so do the EPcot snorkel swim, they actually call it dive quest, but you only snorkel, you don't dive. It was one of the best experiences that we have ever had at wdw. You get to swim in the big tank at Epcot and do a behind the scenes tour. I highly recommend it. Have fun planning away!

Since you will be there for two weeks; I would do all the signature restaurants. I would cap it off with Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table. The only one that I know of that will not be open is California Grill. I would do the math to make sure the deluxe dining plan is actually going to save you money vs out of pocket. Plus out of pocket also gives you more flexibility to do the signature restaurants at Swan and Dolphin. Here is a link to how my fiance and I are going to spend 8 days this June on our Disneymoon.

I've never been that skilled with "good" advice, only bad advice ... so how about Streaking Epcot's world showcase .... just an idea! :rotfl:

I will join the club as another who turns 40 this year (but thankfully not until mid November.......so I have some time to get ready for my mid-life crisis......:rolleyes1). DH and I also celebrate a marital milestone......20 years for us in May.

I would add on a day at Discovery Cove, with the dolphin swim and the premium package cabana. If I had one very special day in Orlando, this would be the way I would celebrate it, hands-down. You would also get free admission to SeaWorld and Aquatica, so could add that to your two-week itinerary.

Oh Ted. You are such a naughty boy sometimes :lmao: .

DW will turn 39 on the Fantasy in March. She has repeatedly told me she wants a 'beach'. Lucky for her it just so happens we are at Castaway Cay the day of. Of course she has also told me not to tell anyone so when she sees this message later I am going to be in trouble.

For her 40th we have booked a Southern Carribean on RCL which hits a different island every day. Doesn't get more beach than that.

I turn 40 this coming Wednesday..:rolleyes1 this is also our oldest DD's last year of High School before she heads off to University (I work for the School Board so our Spring Breaks won't be the same once she's off to University).

I told DH last summer I wanted to do something "special" and something that would suit everyone so I decided we would go on our first Cruise (Carnival Breeze) followed by 9 days offsite!

DD LOVES WWOHP and I LOVE Disney, DH get's the all you can drink booze on the ship, middle DD's excited to try something new and there will be boys so she's all set....;) and our youngest is just content no matter what we do. And to complete the memories my parents are also joining us

I've accepted this will probably be the last time we go to Disney for quite some time as oldest DD and I are the Disney nuts in the family. DH and the other DD's love the all inclusive resort life on a beach.

64 Days and counting! :cool1:
