2012 Quieter times/French school holidays

Just back and ready to plan next trip! Will only go out of school holiday times during the week and looking for April/May/June/July time.

Can anyone advise of the quieter/cheaper periods and of the school holidays in France.

And if anyone knows.. do you know if they do anything special for the 20th birthday or Bastille day (my daughters birthday)

Public holidays April-July 2012 are

8 -9 April

1-8-17-27-28 May

For the above the 30/4 and the 7/5 and the 18/5 can also be considered holidays as everyone takes them off to have 4 day weekends

And then the 14th of July which they have fireworks for but afaik nothing else happens in the park, plenty in the towns and villages around the park though and of course in Paris

School holidays for that period are

Paris Zone = 14-30th April

Northern France Zone = 21st April - 7th of May

The other zone doesn't really affect the park

For summer holidays it's the 5th of July - 4th of September for all 3 zones

Spain and Italy start their holidays from mid June so it's best to go before that if poss

I was wondering if anyone knew how busy March normaly is? We're going from the 7th to the 12th. Also by this time has the weather started to warm up or is it much the same as the weather in Jan/Feb? I would love it if it wasn't too cold or rainy. I hate cold weather haha.
