Day 13 Magic Kingdom Mara Chef Mickeys Magic Kingdom EMH
We took the bus in today to Magic Kingdom, arriving just in time to see the opening ceremony. Once inside we headed over to Tomorrowland and picked up fast passes for Space Mountain. Buzz Lightyear was a walk on at this time, so we managed to ride it three times in succession.
Moving on to Indy Speedway, after a short wait, we each did single rider, which was a first time for Emma riding alone.
Since we had not eaten yet, we had a stroll back to Main Street Bakery and as usual the queue was enormous. We eventually managed to get a table, after a short wait.
Nigel: Egg and Cheese Croissant Orange Juice.
Sue: Cherry Danish Orange Juice.
Emma: Croissant Fruit Cup Orange Juice.
Returning back to Tomorrowland, Emma and myself made use of our Space Mountain fast passes whilst Sue decided to sit this one out. Next up was a circuit on TTA, which we tend to use for more of a rest than a ride. Walking past the Laugh Floor, the lines looked empty so we decided to take a look and walked straight into the theatre. We have done this attraction many times, but I have only managed to get on screen once! Moving further round into the new development, we headed towards the new Barnstormer ride. The queue time far outweighed the actual ride time but it was nice to see the new layout.
As we were exiting the ride, a train was just pulling into the station, so we decided to have a full circuit of the park, and then after having a peek at the new Dumbo ride, we made our way to Mickeys Philharmagic. This is one of my favourite shows.
We had a look around the gift shop before making our way across to the Carousel. Since the lines were low, we managed to ride twice in succession. Dark clouds were now forming overhead, and it look like the inevitable storm was imminent. The rain started falling as we reached Caseys Corner and so we made our way to the exit through the shops, meeting up with the Mayor on the way.
Exiting the Emporium, the rainstorm was in full swing, which resulted in a good ten-minute wait before we could venture outside.
We got the bus back to OKW and noticed that the small pool was completely deserted.
We then decided to drive over to Mara in Animal Kingdom Lodge for lunch.
Nigel: Chicken Pitta with extra Jalepenos Cheesecake Monster Energy
Sue: Pepperoni Flatbread Zebra Domes Orange Juice
Emma: Pepperoni Flatbread Brownie Diet Coke
I must say that this Chicken Pitta was enormous, which in turn still left me full when I reached Chef Mickeys later in the evening.
