2012? No Problem...but when?

Absolutely NOTHING to do with my upcoming trip!

Last year my husband bought me a new van for my birthday.

This year he bought me a new London Fog short coat....

I think I need to work on his choices....they really should be getting BETTER with each year...right? LOL!

Hahahaha!!! Yah - that van gift was pretty awesome... I am thinking that should have been a TRIP to London vs. a London Fog coat... LOL

I hope you had a great birthday!!! I think I missed it??? I have no idea how???

D~

Today is a perfect example of why I should NOT plan my days out...it really does not help me be productive!

After dropping off Mr D at school I ran to WalMart and Home Depot. I had a couple things to check out...I am going to freshen up the kids/ guest bath before Christmas. Nothing too major, just paint, new towels, that sort of thing.

I was able to find the color of seafoam towels I was looking for and a few decorative items in a dark gray. At Home Depot I was able to find the right color of gray for the paint, but still decided to bring home the chip to make sure it would work in my windowless bathroom.

I found all the other materials I needed...and added the price to my budget and came home rather happy.

I was also able to FINALLY find some long sleeved onesies for Miss Mia's Thanksgiving shirt.

I made the pumpkin bread for this weekend...and went to work patching the few tiny holes that were there along with the rather obnoxious large one from the door knob hitting the wall! I can't tell you how much I HATE that!

By the time I finished that...my goal was to have the router so I could get it set up ..... before I have to go back to school to get Mr D.

Instead...I now have to go back to WalMart to take 2 items back, go back to Home Depot to pick up the paint (I knew I should have gotten it while I was there) and to pick up my meds. (it was not written on my list of things to do I was just supposed to remember it!)

And I have spent the better part of the last hour on the phone with Fed Ex, the Post Office, the PX, and then back to the Post Office and back to Fed Ex!

My package is missing somewhere...or not. According to Fed Ex it was delivered and they are no longer on the hook. According to the Post Office Fed Ex changed the address on the package and it was sent to another city. Fed Ex says they were only to deliver it to the post office...after that it was the responsibility of the post office to deliver it correctly. (Evidently delivering it to the RIGHT post office is not their responsibility!)

The Post Office said they sent it back to Fed Ex in Atlanta. Fed Ex said they have no record.

Fed Ex said I changed the delivery address (?????) so it is my fault! The address I supposedly changed it to? Well that would be MY CORRECT ADDRESS!

The PX will not consider it as being missing or lost until after it has been missing or lost for TEN days!

Are you dizzy yet? I am!

So, what do I have to show for my day? Well, I have to leave in an hour and a half to pick up Mr D...I have a little over 2 hours of errands to run, and I still have not had lunch....but I do know that my new router is...somewhere enjoying a nice little trip! And not going to be set up this weekend since FedEx does not work on Saturdays and will not get to my complaint until ...maybe Monday!

(At least it was on sale, and if the PX has to resend it I will still get the sale price.)

I hate the post office fedex ship thing. Good luck with your home decor projects.

Actually you didn't miss it...it is still a week away! LOL...Hubby decided that since I loved the coat and he was getting it, he would call it my birthday gift and he wouldn't have to worry about it!

We kinda did that for mothers day/fathers day last year...He bought my phone and I bought his phone! I know cheating!

I was hoping to convince him to buy me another Ikea shelf...oh well. My daughter in law got the Disney Store, where you got the lithographs...she is having them framed for my studio ...a pretty cool birthday gift if you ask me?

Mail has ran and no package... it is really infuriating me now. My internet is driving me crazy....

The home decor project was supposed to be finished by now, but since it is rainy the paint is not drying fast enough! I am adding a decorative board to the walls to hang some robe hooks on. That is the last thing to do...drill the pilot holes, screw the board to the studs and add the robe hooks. I probably should also finish scrubbing the bathroom....

The kids last day of school was yesterday. They are on fall break all next week. Just realized that this time next year I will be on my way to Disney!

Guess I need to start a countdown for that one!

That is awesome. I loved having my birthday at Disney this year. thinking of doing it again next year.

Seriously I had no idea about this? I must have been living under a rock. Obviously, I have a lot of catching up to do and I will start reading soon.

As that big day this year is approaching, I am at my wits end with my grown kids. I seriously told my husband last night I was going to cancel my birthday this year! Now my middle son is upset that I didn't confer with him before making the change of date for dinner...he has a party to go to on Friday night and can't make it!

I came 'this' close to saying it doesn't really matter becuase his fiance would have to have her nails done and would miss it...but I remained a good girl and kept quiet!

I can not wait for Next October to be here...we decided we were going for my birthday even if school changes their fall break. And that was the Disney-hating husband's idea...I think he has turned!

I keep this pretty low key. I seriously do not want my kids to know about it! I would be in a world of trouble! LOL!

----------------

Nothing new on the planning for today.... but I am seriously getting antsy for the trip to get here. I almost considered just taking off in the van and driving to Disney this week...but something about the pocketbook being a bit light made me think twice about it!

well, off to therapy... it was nice to have an hour or so break today between the two major ones. That doesn't happen very often.

Oh Tammie....

That was above and beyond! LOL! I can't even force myself to read the whole thing to see if I remembered to put something in it!~

Nini

It was a good read! It did take me 2 days though! Imagine, the kids still wanted taken care of and hubby still wanted food and clean laundry while I was trying to read! :rotfl2:

Hahaha... Happens to me all the time! :rolleyes1 The family is pretty self-sufficient now a days. LOL They've learned...

D~

Well, Tammie, it helps a lot that she has teens..... of course that doesn't explain how her husband is able to be at that point....

Hmm... I think I will keep my little ones. I am sure teens come with a whole bunch of issues.. I would much rather cook and clean! :rotfl2: And in defense of my sweet hubby, he does cook... it's the cleaning that I need to work on! :lmao:

Okay, I will admit I am way too far behind to catch up, but I skimmed (loved the pic in front of AK by the way). I will stay on top of it now.

I'm very  that you depart the day we arrive.

OK, I am confused... over the lat 77 pages I think I have things mixed up... when are you leaving again, Nini? I thought more of our trip overlapped!

Let's see...this year we arrive on the 30th of November and leave on the 9th of December. Last year it was a week earlier due to Thanksgiving being a week later this year...

See...this was supposed to be a PTR for last year's trip and I just never got around ot making a TR...and just kind of kept this one around....and started using it for our two trips this year...

I know...I'm bad!

And I promise to close this one down after this trip!

(yes, I 'm a rebel!)
