Does anyone have a picture of the refillable mugs? We are going soon :)
Thank you in advance!

I dont think they have changed from last years mugs...and no info if they are going to change it..

they had a water scene with mickey minnieon beach chairs...and the colors were fluroscent type...pink, aqua, black and yellow...

I hope someone posts a picture for you, I don't have one but yes the mug is the same from lastyear.

Just thought I'd add my photo from August 2011:

Unless things change again the standard colors seem to be pink, blue, and black. The yellow lids from early 2011, prior to black, seem to be gone from what I know.

The green one in my photo was from the extra colors green, purple, and orange that were also being sold at Pop Century the week I was there. I've read the mugs at All-Star Sports with the RFID chip test are green, purple, and orange.

What is the RFID chip test?:confused3

that was to limit the soda to those who have paid for it
apparently people were filling up anything (20oz bottles they had in the car) so Disney was trying to figure out how to cut that out

They are testing a new soda dispenser at All-Star Sports that can detect an active RFID chip on your mug or cup and fill it to a specific amount, and during a specific time frame of your vacation.

That's a really rough summary and there's a lot more detail on how it works, but that's basically what they are trying out. Still have not read any news about testing being expanded or if/when they might deem this to be a change to be implemented everywhere.

Thank you all!!! I was hoping it was different from our old ones and it us! Thank you all so much!!!!!

If you are staying at Music or Movies and decide to walk over to Sports can you still fill your mug up at their station?

Yes, you will be able to fill them at any of the All-star resorts, as Disney considers them to be the same, at least that is what a bus driver told me.

From the reports I have read, the RFID soda dispensers being tested at All-Star Sports will not function unless an RFID chip on your mug or cup is detected. I would assume if you really needed to fill up at Sports then a CM could assist you with some kind of override.

I would expect no issues using your mugs for coffee or iced tea at Sports, any of the dispensers that are not using the new RFID tech.

Pretty sure you're correct; the exception being the RFID technology being used at Sports right now would make it difficult to fill up your Music or Movies non-RFID mug with soda without help from a CM.

Are there four colors of mugs this year? We have 4 in our family and that would be great. DH was just asking why they didn't have 4 colors since everything seems to be based on a family of four at WDW. I know we can switch the lids to determine with the handle, but four colors would be great.

Pretty sure the answer is no, that each resort typically stocks three colors of mugs, with the latest being black, blue, and pink.

Reports are that All Star Sports is stocking green, purple, and orange because of the RFID chip test going on.

If you're lucky green, purple, and orange may show up at your resort too along with black, blue, and pink. All six of those colors were (briefly) available during my stay at Pop Century in August 2011.

I'd gladly be wrong to learn that new colors are out or if they will go to a four-color rotation. :goodvibes
