2012 Free Dining Watch and Wait HERE

When we got our free dinning our Sept 2010 trip it was released April 2010. I found out on here 2 days before you could book. This year they did it differently.Hoping for free dinning Sept 2012 we are booked at AOA would love to be at Poly but with out free dinning its a deal breaker. We would have to stay at AOA or go to POR were a family of 5.

still holding on to hope over here for aug 2012!! all current deals end august 28 i think.. prices have really gone up for 2012 so hoping for a discount or FD!!! fingers crossed...the waiting is killing me!! we are planning on POR but may upgrade to the contemporary

Been watching other discount threads and there has been some talk about discounts coming in 2 weeks.
Here's to hoping that it will be similar to last August and they will announce FD for 2012.

Subscribing. We just booked our Aug 2012 trip yesterday and fingers crossed they offer the FD discount.

We have our trip booked for September 14th, 2012 already and I pray that they offer the FreeDDP again. I would have preferred going in October again but unfortunately I think 2011 may be the final year for FreeDDP but if not then I expect them to at least offer it for the late summer/early fall again (ending around 09/27/12). With the way the Disney execs have been talking I don't expect the FreeDDP at all in 2012 though.

Anyone care to guess, based on previous years that the free dining was offered, how likely it is that it will be offered in June? Assuming it's offered at all, of course.

I'm not very familiar with WDW as we usually go to Disneyland. Thanks for any info.

We were in Disney the last week of May through the first week of June, 2011 and were able to take advantage of the free dining promo. As you can see, we've been to Disney quite a few times (normally during May and June) and this was the first time I remembered Disney ever offering free dining during those travel dates. I sure hope they do have free dining again for that time period in 2012 'cause it saved us a bundle!

Getting free Dining the past two years has saved us $1300 each trip. I really hope they offer it next year.

Please don't take that as gospel. That is just my own personal belief after seeing some of the comments from the Disney Execs posted online. I may be totally off on that mark so please don't think that is is definitely out for next year. It may very well be back in full force. I just personally don't think it will. But I do hope that I get pleasantly surprised.

Good luck. It may spoil them though. Our first trip (06) was with free dining and 4 trips later have all been free dining. It's hard to imagine going there without it. I know we will have to one day, but I'm not looking forward to it.

I don't understand why they would not offer free dinning. We just give them back the money we saved with a upgrade or giving the kids extra spending money. With out free dinning we will have to cut back on spending money .

I will keep watching can anyone tell me what sit they say the possable free dinning dates released in Aug?

I really hope they do offer free dining... it would allow us to do character meals, etc... and it is SO exciting that we are so close to going to WDW! Free dining may spoil the kids... but we probably would not be able to go to WDW very many times anyway. We've been saving and waiting for a few years now. If they offer free dining then we can definitely go next year! If not... it's debatable

I guess we will all find out soon enough, if free dining dates are typically posted in August...

Disney did not release Free Dining dates for 2011 in August of 2010, it was October 2010 when they released those multiple dates for 2011.

There will be free dining next year. I don't know if it will cover as many weeks as they did this year, but I have no doubt that there will be a free dining discount for at least late August through late September. That is the height of hurricane season, the whole reason that free dining was introduced in the first place, and that fact won't change recession or not.

Actually, they did. We have had our August 2011 trip booked since last August and it has always been a free dining special. We did not change to a different deal or anything.
