2012 Cruise Itineraries & Point Charts

I would suspect they should be out sometime in October. I believe that it was Oct 2009 when DCL announced the 2011 itineraries. Point charts should come out sometime after that. If they are not out before the 2012 cruises are bookable, MS can tell you how many points are needed.

I have always thought the points for curise were pretty expensive and not such a good deal.

I booked our 2012 cruise on Oct 19th. There were point charts on DVCmember.com.

As far as being a good value, I used 2013 points to book our cruise. I cant rent, transfer those points until 2012, so for us, a good value as I wont need to alter any DVC plans for 2011 or 2012 and we have no plans for 2013 except for this cruise, which is now paid in full!:goodvibes

I also dont have to worry about the cruises selling out for points like this year.

I just booked a 2012 Western on the Fantasy! :yay::banana: I rented points and didn't have to pay the $95 fee. Plus I got $175 OBC and have the chance of getting a cheaper price should the rates drop. So two scenarios, but the same results....WE'RE GOING ON A DISNEY CRUISE!!:woohoo:

Is it because the owner of the points is paying the $95 fee or because there's some special where they are waiving it?

I rented my own points out to others, and used that cash to pay for the cruise...:) There is no $95 fee for cash paying guests.

OF course we know from recent threads that some folks who rent their points are scammed by people who make THEM foot the bill for their vacation by putting down bad credit cards at checkin.

Ahhhhh! I was interpreting that you rented points from someone for the cruise. Some very distressed ones I assumed! :goodvibes

:confused3 I have rented to wonderful people. There is always that chance, but I have to have faith that folks will do the right thing. It won't discourage me from future renting, and for trips like a cruise, makes my points go a lot farther.
