Thanks SueM! After doing some homework on what our budget was former years and with the 30% discount vs. what it would cost us staying at our typical Poly Garden View (now standard) we decided to spend the extra money and upgrade to the Lagoon/Pool View. I just don't want to be looking directly into a tree at all times. We also noted in our reservation that we would like to stay close to the lobby and have a full balcony. Here is hoping for some pixie dust for a good view! I am an early riser and would like to enjoy a balcony this year!![]()
Dee - get the eraser out!!!
DH said that since we are flying this year instead of driving he didn't want the hassle of a split stay. So now we are staying BC June 29-July 15!
I couldn't get a low fare for the flight home with Frontier so now we are flying down on Frontier and home on Jet Blue! This trip gets crazier and crazier!
Beach Club Resort CL, I requested Epcot fireworks room view, What do y'all think?![]()

There was a time when you could book 5 people in a YC CL LV but no more. I know I did it in 2003 & 2005. It changed several years ago. I believe those rooms are slightly smaller and that's why they changed the occupancy rate.
Just for an FYI, room 5163 is a LV CL room but has no balcony. It has to do with the architecture of the building. It is rare at YC to not have a balcony or patio but it is possible. The view is great but if a balcony is important (it is to me) then don't let them put you in 5163.
Thanks ninja mom, I love it!!!!! Two more weeks and we'll get to try the resort for the first time. One more quick question, how much is a half gallon of milk in the marketplace? Just trying to decide if I should have some groceries delivered.
I thought that would make for a nice view from balcony. Don't be jelly, you can also book it!!!!![]()
I hope you get to make your first visit to BC in Aug. We have been there twice and it is our favorite so far!![]()

Wow! That's interesting. I assumed all YC rooms have balconies, I think we'd prefer a rooftop view with a balcony than a LV room without lol. We will be ok with our SV I was just genuinely curious as to why that was the only bookable category in CL for 5.
Unfortunately, there is only one set of elevators at the YC, and they are located right by the Concierge desks and the lounge. We've always requested a room away from the lounge and have been lucky enough to get it each time. Unless you are at the very end of a hall, you will hear people in the hall, and even at the end of the hall there's no guarantee that you won't have hallway noise.
