In the last thread there were quite a few comments about the wonderful Grey Goose slushies :thumbsup2....I got my first one this past July and I was hooked!!!

To tide me over I have found the recipes on line and I am posting them now for those who may want them:

Grand Marnier & Grey Goose Orange Slush
• 1 part Grand Marnier, 1 part Grey Goose Vodka, 2 parts sweet and sour mix, 1 part simple syrup. Blend with ice to create your frozen cocktail. Sorry, you'll have to add orange food coloring if you want it orange, just like they do at Epcot.

Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush
• 2 parts Grey Goose Citron (or other) citrus vodka, 2 parts sweet and sour mix, 1 part simple syrup. Blend with ice.

I have just found a cheap slushie machine that works!!!:yay:. It is the rival snowcone/slushie machine and I got it at Wal-marts. I will be making these wonderful drinks at home til I can get one again in Sept!!

I hope I made someone's day!:cool1:

Ok well I can get added to whatever list you have for September. We were booked at Coronado Springs now I modified it to be first night at All Star Movies (we arrive in Orlando at 9 pm) and then three nights at Beach Club Villas - Deluxe Studio.

Glad to have you here!

What are the dates of your trip/stay at BCV?

This week I booked a room for us at the Yacht Club! It's our first time staying at an Epcot resort, and, obviously, at the YC. We will be there from Nov 22-27, and then we're switching to the Ft Wilderness cabins from the 27-Dec 5.

I chose a garden view room, should I request a certain floor, or something? We're not majorly picky about the view, but a great view is always nice!

We had a choice between a water view at the BC, standard view club level at the BC, those categories at the YC, plus a garden view at the YC. Club level was really tempting; is a standard view club level room worth 200 more than a garden view room? I was scared by the talk of parking lot view rooms. :)

Does IPO always send the Pool Activity Schedule or did you send an email & request one? We are going in Sept...towards the end so I figured they can send it to me when it comes out after the first week in Sept.

I sent IPO a message and asked for one. We wanted to plan a night around one.

We are there 9/24 to 9/27. I love the Beach Club. Stayed there twice before. We are there for my birthday and our 25th anniversary is right after we return. The "main purpose" of this trip is to visit DD. :rolleyes1 She starts the College Program on August 22nd till Jan 6th.

I have two trips for a total of six nights in three hotels booked in the next two months.

Havent been on the thread in a while.

Welcome princess:Lilly, congrats Teena and Bob

Well I looked to see if we could change our nov/dec trip from a bounceback pool view room to a garden view ap rate, but all the ap had was pool view too. Oh well. The only request we made was close to elevator. Maybe I should have said full balcony too as dh likes to sit on the balcony, but after last years freezing cold weather. I think if its the same we might be staying away from the balcony etc.

Finished all our adrs and got the last one done, cp package for Dec.lst. That took 50 redials and being on hold for an addiitional 45 minutes.

Right now dh has enough ff miles that we can get about a week for free at the BC for May 2012 too. I will wait till after the new year to book that as I will see what the new packages will be etc.

I know its still the summer but I am looking forward to the christmas decorations etc. I am sill holding out for southwest to lower their fares. We are a captive audience here, they are the only airline with a direct flight etc.

I doubt we can swim in December but if it is nice we might try one day

I have read this entire thread and the one prior to it, I am arriveing at the YC in less than 2 weeks and am starting to panic that I am not prepared!!!! Help!

You sound more than prepared. Now's the time to sit back, relax, and start the packing. Enjoy your stay. It goes too quickly.

In the last thread there were quite a few comments about the wonderful Grey Goose slushies. I have just found a cheap slushie machine that works!!! I will be making these wonderful drinks at home til I can get one again in Sept!!

Just remember, practice makes perfect. Keep practicing drinking those slushies so you are prepared for your September stay. You can show all those around you the best way to drink them. And remember the recommendation of using the refillable mugs so you don't have to worry about taking it out of the park. Hope you have a great trip.

Ask for a gazebo view, at the YC I think these are the best GV rooms you can get. You may even get lucky like us and get to watch a lucky couple tie the knot. Happy planning!

THis sounds sooo good!! Where can I find this in Epcot?? :)

We got home Thusday night, we had a good time and loved our room (upgraded to 2 bdrm suite), but think next year we will stay at POP for our girls only trip. There were up sides and down sides to staying here, I have mixed feelings. Here is a video of our room, will also post this on the pictures thread, sorry for the messed up beds, the original video I took uploaded sideways.

Thanks for posting your video. You did a great job with it! When you get the chance, tell us more about your thoughts on the BC.

My mom and I will be staying at the Beach Club from 5- 13 december.

I can't wait. I just read the first page of the thread, and I love the activities on the beach. Will the movies continue in winter? and the marshmellow roast?
I assume it is weather dependant. I would love to participate.

We will add you to our page 1 guest list :)

I believe both the campfire/marshmallow roast and movies are year-round. If the weather is bad, then I'm guessing the fire is cancelled, but the movie is moved into the Solarium.

I was wondering why this thread was not showing up in my user cp..I didn't realize there was a new thread!

I know it is far out but just booked this morning for our may 2012 trip..May 16 - May 23 Beach Club Villas

We loved the resort and the pool, we will probably be back when it is just my husband and I, but next year for the girls only trip we will be staying at POP. We spend more time at the resorts then parks and the food offerings at BC were not that great, actually my husband and I both were sick after the first meal we ate there.

Question for you regular BC/YC we shorten our trip from 8 days to 6 now we have AK scheduled for the morning we leave (ME wont pick us up till 3:30pm) But I feel like the day would be better spent enjoying the pool and CL then rushing through animal kingdom even though we have a TH breakfast. Whats the better verdict will the kids (8/9 and 11mths) rather stay at SAB all morning and skip AK completely or Spend the AM at AK? I know this is probably a thread for the theam park board but I would rather ask BC/YC as I feel y'all are more knowledgeable about how much time to spent at SAB.

Do you have another day scheduled at AK or is this the only one? AK is a half-day park for our family (two boys, ages 10 and 13), and if we were going to skip one park, this would be it.

Any reason you feel like you have to decide now? You could wait and see if the kids feel like just sticking around on your last day, or if a park day sounds good. Keep your TH breakfast reservation for now, and then cancel it the day before, or even that morning, if you prefer to stay close to the resort.

Thank you very much! I will ask for one. My dh has been wanting to stay at an Epcot resort, and I have to admit that I was never really excited about it. But now I am. :cloud9: It will be a fun change from the MK resorts, which is where we have always stayed. And I'm thrilled that we get a chance to experience both the hustle and bustle of a deluxe resort, and the tranquility of a private 2 room cabin (Ft Wilderness). Best of both worlds!

If we want to go to Downtown Disney, or the MK, should we drive? We will have our minivan since we're driving from Texas.
