Hi everybody,

I'm new here and I was told by a lime green beach bucket from Hurricane Hannah's that this is the place to post questions about the hotel I'm staying at. That bucket said there was a reason that she was lime green and if I went to the Dis Boards I would know what she meant.

Any way I remember signing up for a garden view room since I spend way too much time in the pool to begin with. The only trouble is that upon my arrival to the hotel I was whisked away to a closet and I'm sitting next to other people's junk!

What is a Pool noodle to do??

Hi Cinderumbrella!! Your trip is right around the bend!!

BC experts...I have some travel questions....

What is the usual travel time from the BC to MK... and what about if you want to make rope drop??? Is BC the first pick up...or the first drop off???? And...just one more.... .... What about travel back after MK closing....

Though I really am so excited to be staying at the BC...trying something new gives me a little pre trip anxiety.... since I have a while until our trip..I have a little extra time to worry!!!

Pathology report came back & there were some small areas of invasive cancer that had come out of the ducts. I will meet with a medical oncologist at some point within the next 4 weeks.

First, doccoc, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

BlueSkies, I think the travel time can vary based on a number of factors. Our BC stays have all been in the months of January - March and then just one in July. Our most recent stay was in February and I clocked the MK arrival time because our oldest is always excited to get to rope drop and he always thinks we're not getting there early enough (we are.)

In our experience, BC has been either the last or second to last pickup on the way to MK. When the bus has been full, we've gone straight to MK. When not full, we've stopped at BWI. Without the stop at BWI, I timed the ride at approximately 15 minutes. With the stop, it's been about 18-20 minutes. We try to arrive at the bus stop one hour before rope drop. But again, I know this can vary so others may have different experiences.

Just paid off our surprise trip to BC Tomorrow will put our play money on our travel visa then I am done, excepting waiting 66 days to leave (and 65 days until we let the kids in on our trip)

I agree with you the brushing teeth thing is hard. My 3 dachshunds have no problem with plain tooth paste or the hieny stuff, but are smooshy face (pug) won't open her jaw for anything. That is really a bummer when I got to give her children's benadryll from time to time for allergies, I end up wearing it!

Again thanks for the introduction to the noodle family! I can't wait for our quality time with them and the fun we will all have togeather. Joeseph is so excited that he will have someone his age to play games with and Charlie can't wait to have someone to hang with.

We are getting ready for our Myrtle Beach trip. We are first going to Charleston, SC or near there to visit family next tuesday and then on the 5th through the 10th we will be at Myrtle Beach. My DH has already said we must get some relatives of Paul noodle and pretend we are already at the SAB as he floats in the pools at Harbor Lights.

Is it bad that your having fantacies looking forward to an upcoming trip to BC while on another vacation?

have your vet or doc give you a syringe, fill it then stick it in the fold of gum at the back where the top and bottom teeth meet, squirt some in then let go, she'll open up and totally start licking at it, repeat till she gets it all.

Last surgery done...For now anyways & I'm heading home tomorrow They found cancer right by the skin so the were nervous about the skin dying but it is perfect. They said they could not be happier. Still waiting on Pathology results for the tumor. Running behind I guess. I will have my follow up appt in about 5-10 days or so. Hopefully I can have the drains taken out by then. I will get 1 of the 4 removed tomorrow before heading home.
I'm sooooo happy
Still in some pain, waiting for pain meds now. So I can go to sleep. Also need to go to bathroom. I feel like a new woman, new tummy & new breast

Glad you're done, even if just for now, hope you get good news.

Teena, I hope you are feeling well. I have a question about swapping pool noodles. If two guests are both staying CL and making a swap, can the noodles be left with CL staff? Example - Danny's Mom is checking out of CL the day I am checking in.

Honestly I can't tell you guys how to do the noodle swap. I personally (not as a CM) would go with bell services but it's all entirely up to you and how you can work it out between the two parties involved. The Beach Club really doesn't have any "guidelines" when it comes to stuff like that so I can't give you a definitive answer that yes, you can do it a certain or no you can't.

I'm feeling good but very very tired. Just doing as little as possible. I've told Jeanne I doubt I'll be that much help when I go help her close down her classroom but she says five minutes of two extra hands is better than no minutes.

*NOTE WE NEED A PLAN FOR BELL SERVICES, WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS?

Please get a picture of your family or yourself with the noodles when you have them. Even better would be a picture of you AND the person you are handing them off to if possible. This is a great way to meet your fellow Yacht & Beach Club FAQ thread friends over something extremely silly!

If something happens to the noodle, it's OK... really! Just let us know and then some one down the line can try to replace it if they get the chance. This is all for fun so don't freak out if the noodles get lost or damaged. Have a great vacation and take care of the noodles with out fretting about it!

Pictures of the noodles engaging in your vacation activities are WELCOME! Say you are having a drink by the pool... take a picture of the noodle (with yourself as well if you want) 'posing' with the drink and post it on the Yacht & Beach Club FAQ Thread. Be creative! The sillier the better and an imaginative caption will help to set the scene and tell the 'story'.

The families involved in each hand-off would be responsible for contacting each other to arrange a time/place for the swap, or if the noodles need to go to Bell Services for a short vacation, I think the family that hands them over will have to give the name of the family who is going to claim them. OR would it work if we used a fake name (like the Ramen family) for each pickup?

Notes* A 1) denotes the first person of the time period to post and ask for the noodle. A 2) means the second person to post for that time period and so forth....

I agree! This should be a new room category: Rehab Worker View. I, for one, would pay a bit extra for that view.
