They've removed the Med cruise ABD.
Holy Moses! The price tag is...wow! But man this looks awfully cool!
I am bummed if this is no longer an option! I would have loved to have done this in conjunction with the Med cruise. I am enjoying reading SayHello's report and how so far seamless everything has been on her ABD portion of the cruise.
I'm a little disappointed in some of the pricing. I was really, really hoping that the Europe trips would have gone down a bit instead of up due to the Euro's recent decline, but apparently that wasn't the case. The other trip that floored me was the South Africa trip. It was under $5k pp when I looked earlier this week for a 12 day trip, now it's almost $6k for a 10 day trip. Now decision time is here. Where do I go? When do I go? Do I book early? Do I do a pre-trip package? I wanted to do the Alpine Magic, but the Adults Only trip isn't until Sept and that doesn't work for me. Then I looked at Australia and that trip is only $400 more pp than the Alpine Magic. Hmmm, can I convince my DW to fly 27 hours to Australia?![]()
Our Guides Robyn & Tina said the ABD add-on was very popular & had gone over VERY well, and that they were considering adding it for Alaska, too. So I doubt it's gone. They probably just haven't worked out all the details yet.I am bummed if this is no longer an option! I would have loved to have done this in conjunction with the Med cruise. What was there was all screwy for the last few days, having pricing that made no sense, and looking like it might include the cruise... So my bet is they're still ironing out the details, and it will re-appear once they've gotten everything straight. They might have to work out a second itinerary, anyways, for the 7 day cruises...Maybe it will show up again. It wasn't there in the beginning last year either. And the web site is all screwy, so who knows what else may pop up.

Well, assuming the website is up to date, the cancellation policy is still the same:This is very good to hear! Totally crossing my fingers for the ABD deal with Alaska! This Egypt trip looks AMAZING! The April 2012 date looks real good but I really want to do an Adults only..gonna spend some time thinking on it...
Oh I do have a question! If I were to put a deposit down for the April 2012 ABD date do I still only have 14 days to get my deposit back? If so that could push me back over to the Med Cruise for 2012.
So the answer appears to be: Yes. You still only have 14 days to get your deposit back.Regardless of when you book, your deposit of US$300 is refundable for 14 calendar days after original booking.
