2011 or 2012

I have been fermenting a plan to leave the Garden State with my beloved family and visit SoCal (LA, Orange County, San Diego) in 2011As we are Disney fanatics, a large part of that trip will be three days spent at Disney Land. But it seems as though there is a lot of renovations and new rides in 2012 especially at California Adventure.

So my question is should we wait until 2012 or go ahead and take the plunge in 2011. Also if your answer is 2012 what month should we visit to make sure we get the advantage of all the change.

You will have a good time either year you come. Disney is doing the changes slowly and there is still so much to enjoy at both parks, so it would not take away from your experience at all if you came in 2011. But if you want to guarantee that you can see everything including the new Cars Land then you need to wait till 2012...and if you want to avoid the crowds that come along with new attractions I would wait at least a few months after that...or more!

If this is a once in a lifetime trip, wait. If not- come now! November is a great time to visit, and in Nov. 2012 everything would be open by then. But enjoying beaches/san diego stuff might not be as enjoyable then.

My dilemna also! After much thought and consideration I have decided to go Nov 2011 because I really want to see the WOC and the new Star Tours remodel. I am also hoping Captain EO and Aladdin will still be playing. I am buying for the first time ever an AP so I can return to Disneyland in 2012 after the new CarsLand opens. So in answer to your question, BOTH LOL

Fermenting a plan? With yeast? Oh, you mean to foment a plan.

Disneyland is always under a state of change, so you will LOVE it just as much in 2011 as 2012. The only exception I can think of is if you are traveling for one specific ride and it won't be available in 2011.

After you try Disneyland once, you'll be motivated to go back! We travel every year and visit Disneyland exclusively - fly in, arrive at the hotel and spend a week just reveling in all things Disney. That's it! So you may be here for 2011, 2012, 2013....
