2011 DDP Prices

So, I read here on the Dis that 2011 pricing had been released. I call Disney so excited about getting costs and details on DxDDP for our May '11 trip. But the CM tells me those details for 2011 won't be released until DECEMBER 2010!! Is this just bad info from a CM or accurate? If accurate how do people booked for January 2011 make a decision on dining without that information?

Yes, I know I'm still 10 months out but this is a Girl Scout trip and if dining costs increase I must change my budget to reflect those changes (or be prepared to pay the difference x 7 people out of my pocket, ouch! I know I have plenty of but I'm a supreme worrier/planner.

Usually the pricing and plan info comes out in early August. Finalized restaurants are released at the end of December. (Usually it's the restaurants that aren't owned by Disney that are the last ones added to the restaurant list in December.)

I missed the rumor on the DIS that pricing has been announced. Which forum/board was it on?

Maybe you were reading about the UK prices for 2011? Those are released WAY ahead of the US information, because people tend to book overseas travel far in advance. There's been lots of discussion about what's available for 2011 for people booking through UK travel agents (changes to the DDP brochure for UK, etc.)

Room only prices seem to have been released and there was a thread on the resort boards. However, it was only room only pricing. Package information will not be released until later this month/August like normal (according to the CMs on the phone).

Full details as to the participating restaurant list will likely not be released until December 2010 (there will be a preliminary restaurant list in August, released with the package details, but it will probably not be final as the third party restaurants don't sign on until their contracts are finalized.

I think the CM misunderstood your question and thought you were asking about the participating restaurant list which is released at the end of December for the following year.

Maybe you were reading about the UK prices for 2011? Those are released WAY ahead of the US information, because people tend to book overseas travel far in advance.

Probably. But ignore those prices. They fluctuate continually with exchange rates, even throughout the course of the same year. It is impossible to find any logic in those prices.

Thanks for the responses. I tried to go back and find the thread with the 2011 announcements but I couldn't find it.

I don't think the CM misunderstood my question as she repeated back to me twice that they don't have dining plan price details until 12/2010 at the earliest. I just thought that was odd.

I guess I'll [impatiently] wait until early/mid august for the pricing/plan details to be released. I can't make ADR's until Dec so I'll TRY to be more patient.
