2011 Candlelight Processionals packages go on sale....

I called Disney dining yesterday because I couldn't find any availability for hacienda de San angel for 12/1 - 12/11 for lunch or dinner. I was advised they have reservations blocked out here because of candlelight. I was also advised the packages were not going on sale until august 23. I questioned the date but she insisted it was august. Anyway, not happy that they have some places totally blocked out. Anyone have any luck trying to book the hacienda?

I was able to get la hacienda when the reservation window opened.

PeggySue, I was able to book La Hacienda for 12/23 for an 8:45 dinner yesterday late afternoon (at around 4:00) and was told that the CP packages would definitely be going on sale July 26.

Hope this helps. I would keep trying, the CM I spoke to was so very helpful, with telling me when to call back for certain ressies. It's wierd, wanted to book the GFC for 12/18, but the systems isn't taking reservations for that day yet, but she told me to keep trying because it wasn't that all the reservations were booked, but that the booking window wasn't open yet?:confused3

I am not too thrilled with the choices either, but we are still going to do the package and try for Tutto Italia. If you order some of the costlier menu items there the package price does not seem too bad.

Wonder if Via Napoli will be a very popular choice.

With these choices the stand by line will probably be much longer this year.

I still think people will pay for a package with the popular narrarators like Whoppi etc.

Honestly I could not see doing a cp package at Le Cellier if its a 2 credit signature restaurant. I feel like the pressure would be on the servers to get everyone in and out so they are in time for the show etc. Kind of ruins the atmosphere, experience etc. Maybe they feel a true signature restaurant should focus on the dining etc and how could they divide the regular "signature" experience from the package? etc.

I hope they release the rest of the narrator names before booking opens up. Our EPCOT day doesn't have a narrator yet. :confused3

If I were on the dining plan there's no way I'd use it at some of these places for a Candlelight lunch. 2 credits for a $38.00 lunch...

Now I understand why I had no trouble getting into Biergarten on a CP night;)
Why is the new Mexico cafe so much more expensive than St. Angel? I don't understand:confused3

So glad they added those restaurants! Now, to go change my plans back to what they were originally!

I figured they'd have to add the other ones, especially since the official Disney website listed Biergarten, GG, LC, and CR for this year's packages on their site.

I wonder if that's a mistake on the dinner price for Biergarten because that's a huge jump between the lunch and dinner prices, plus that means that dinner at Biergarten is more expensive than it is at places that have a more expensive lunch than Biergarten. Plus, for every other restaurant the difference between lunch and dinner is either $11 or $13, so an $18 difference for Biergarten really seems excessive.

YeaH Biergarten is back on !!!!!!!:thumbsup2:cool1::thumbsup2:cool1:
Now I just hope I can get the package for the night we want;)

So, this means that if you want Le Cellier, you MUST see the 5:00 CP. Isn't that correct?

Yes. I asked a dining CM this afternoon when I was calling about something else. She said Le Cellier will only be part of the CP packages for lunch & only th 5pm show.

That confirms why so many dinner ressies recently opened up for Le Cellier. Hate to say it again but the Candlelight packages are really only good to secure seating for the show, and are not generally a good deal anymore:sad2: Hacienda at top price is crazy!

July 26th is now on my calendar!!! I called the other day and they weren't sure of the date.

Thanks to all for the info. A few questions:

  1. CP Package Ressies only available by calling (vs Online)?
  2. If I already have an ADR is the CP package simply added?
  3. If paying OOP is the CC charged at time of booking?
  4. Does each guest receive the packge components? (2 Adults = 2 Appetizers), (1 Adult, 1 Child = 2 Appetizers)

I appreciate any insight.

1. only on the phone, you can't reserve online

2. nope, you have to make an entirely new ADR

3. not sure. I would rather not have to pay for it now since I'll be paying for it other than by cc when I get there. Is the cc just taken for a 'hold' in case you don't show up?? Anyone know for sure""

4. yes, to the best of my knowledge, each guest gets one of each componant.
