You can add us to the August list, we'll be at YC from 8/22 until 8/28. I'm so excited that I talked my DH in to one more trip before our DD turns 10 and costs us more money. My DD is also thrilled to be trying YC this year instead of the Poly because she fell in love with SAB.

From what we've been told it is never a good idea to request a certain room.

You can request a room near the elevators, full balcony, day bed etc. It all depends on what's important to you.

BC and YC are equal distance from SAB. YC is actually closer to DHS and BC is closer to EPCOT.

The CL lounge is on the 5th floor. It is near the elevators, rooms near the lounge have the closest access to the BC lobby

Personally, if a full balcony is your most important preference (it is for me), you should request that. If balcony size does not matter to you, then I suggest you request "close to lounge" which would put you close to the elevators, closest to the lobby, easy access to SAB and the YC dock.

I'm considering BC for a Christmas trip, and am wondering about the walking distance to places - how far a walk to the Boardwalk? Epcot? DHS?

Question for the YC vets!

We should be arriving at the resort around 10:30 am and have decided to grab a quick bite at B&C when they open and then spend the day at the pool, instead of the parks. I am assuming our room won't be ready yet, but is there a place to change? I saw on page 1 about the locker rooms at the health club- but where is it in relation to the pool? Also, we are staying CL, is there a bathroom near the lounge by chance?

I changed my dates in order to book our RT air fare, Jet Blue only released up to Oct 29 and I did not want to wait to book a November return date

We will be at Beach Club Garden View Room Oct 19 to Oct 25 .

I promise no more changes plans are now set in stone.

Subscribing! Just decided to extend our vacation 2 days and see what the BC CL is all about. We are excited to try someplace besides the Poly and are even a little afraid that we might never go back! We normally like to be close to MK but can't wait to see what Epcot area is all about. What could be better... a 10 day trip, 7 nights at Poly, and 2 BC CL! I think I've died and gone to heaven! I can't wait! You guys have me so excited to check it out!

Hi, Cinderumbrella!

Yes, there is a very small bathroom opposite the YC lounge entrance. The health club is directly in front of the entrance to SAB, in between the Yacht and Beach Clubs.

The fitness club is kind of near B&C and the arcade, right?? I know I remember seeing one but I just can't picture where and the map on the 1st page doesn't show it. We haven't stayed here in over 10 years and haven't been to B&C in at least a year eek: the horror!!! )

Question for fellow Illuminations fans: What's your favorite place at/near BC (but not inside Epcot gates) to watch the fireworks and hear the music?

When we stayed at the YC last time, we just walked down to the marina area. It was still beautiful from there!
