Hi everyone! I have been studying up (and lurking) on this wonderful thread for a while now. I have come to the conclusion that the BC sounds like the perfect place for us. Our two favorite parks are Epcot and HS, so the convenience alone would be worth it. We are checking in on June 18 for 7 nights. I absolutely can't wait!:yay: It will be myself, my DH, and DS-15.

We couldn't agree more. Our first stay at BC was this past April and we are completely, 100%, utterly, hopelessly SOLD on BC! The perks are too vast to name, but we will not stay anywhere else. We've done the monorail area, the value resorts, even AKL (beautiful but a logistical nightmare).

My personal favorite perk... a 10 minute walk to the heavenly "adult" slushies in France!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you both for the information and for the welcome! :goodvibes

Do you happen to know if the rollaway cot is just kid sized for if a teenager could fit on it? Really hoping that we would be lucky enough to get a daybed, but knowing about other options is good!

I appreciate the help very much!

You are welcome!

I think the cot is full-sized, and although I have never needed one in my stays, I have been told that it is pretty comfortable.

I think in the past I have asked for pictures if anyone gets the rollaway- putting out that request again...

I think you're gonna like it!

Adding you to the list. June 18-June 25?

Yes, I fell in love with these slushies on my last trip!

Thanks. Yes, my dates are June 18-24, checking out on the 25th.

Yes, I think I will definately be spending some time at SAB. It looks amazing. The last time we were at WDW was during Tropical Depression Fay and the week was a total washout. No pool time at all. I'm hoping for better weather this time!

Quite a few of us around here were at Disney during the miserable "Fayecation". I was at All Star Music for that wet, wet week.

lionsmom--We were at the Beach Club last June and we absolutely fell in love with it! We are trying a different mod this summer, but I will definitely be visiting the Beach Club. Stormalong bay is awesome for that time of year and the pool bar was wonderful!

Have fun!

Dee pulls the movie list as soon as it comes out. She will put it on page one of this thread so I'd start looking the first week of January. It should be there then. Note that if it is too cool that evening (which it might be in January) they will move it inside so they will still have it, especially if you get a movie your son will really want to watch.

Thanks!! I'll be looking for to it being posted! Also thanks for the heads up that it's sometimes moved inside.

:welcome: new posters!!!

Nice Christmas gift!!! Let us know how the surprise goes. I'll add you to the page 1 Be Our Guest List. What is your checkout day?

I pull the movie listing from the Build a Better Mousetrip website. As Katesdad states, it is usually available within a few days of the start of the month and I will post it on page 1 of this thread. Sometimes I see it a little earlier if one of the DISers here is staying club level and has the activities schedules emailed to them.

The gift is really from my parents, they are taking the majority of the family. My parents, myself, DH and DS, then my sister and her two kids. They're DVC members and we usually go every other year, and went last year so the kids are expecting it in 2012. We'll be headed down on the 13th and coming home on the 18th.

And thanks for keeping the thread up to date! It's a great resource, that I've been stalking for awhile now! And it's so nice to know where to go to find the movies info! I'll keep an eye out.

I think we should make it one of the unofficial slogans of this thread that when hoofing it over to get a slushy, you need to remember to take a refillable mug or other type of 'stealth' container so you can travel with it out of the parks and back to the Beach/Yacht club. Florida has a "No open container of alcohol" law so if Cast Members see you coming toward the exit of EPCOT with what's obviously a slushy or other alcoholic drink they will tell you to finish it or dump it.

Marlton Mom braved an Ice Cream headache  because she wasn't about to dump her hard earned slushie!

~So take a container or chug the remainder!~

I need to find a way to work that important tip onto Page 1.

The other great thing about using the refillable mug for the slushie is that it prevents precious spillage. Those flimsy containers they serve them in are way too shaky. Or maybe it was me who was too shaky. I found that as I drained more and more slushie, I was more and more likely to tip over the cup while booking across the World Showcase trying to balance the cup and also snap pictures along the way. A refillable mug would have made life much simpler!

It's all about the spillage. That silly glass is insufficient, especially when chasing three kids. First time I saw that glass, I took one look at it, then my kids, then the stroller I was supposed to be pushing while drinking this thing, and I immediately grabbed the refill mug. I'll issue my standard warning, though - it drinks very fast in a refill mug through a straw. Exercise caution! :)

Thank you again. :goodvibes Good to know it's full sized!

If we end up booking the YC and get a cot, I'll post a picture!

MM, You have a way with words. I could actually hear you calling me!!:lmao:

It is in this link to the Christmas decorations at the YC. They actually have alot of merchandise. He mentions the BC but says that none has arrived yet. Also, mentions that he will have a picture tour of the BC soon as well. Hope so!

Update to our dinner out

I talked to Chuck and he does want to go out alone while there. He said that we had alot of fun the one time we had done it before. We did. It was nice for us all to have that break. Nathan will just have to deal with it! I called Disney yesterday and they do have availability at the Sandcastle Club for the 3 dates I asked about. Now we just have to pick which restaurant and which night. I think that our brains are so fried with the Christmas Holiday preparations and trip to my parents that we may wait until next week. I sent him menu's of all of the choices. I was really afraid that they extra cost would scare him. Glad to see that he wants the time alone with me too.:lovestruc 25 years! Besides 8 nights in a hotel room with Nathan, I bet Nate will be begging for mercy too!

That assumes I leave anything left that long!!!!

Actually, it's one of my favorite times of the day after the kids go to sleep (or are taking a late night swim in the pool with DW) to sneak out either with a friend or by myself and venture into Epcot to get a slushy, grab a seat off the Lagoon and quietly take in the lights and sounds and wonder that is Epcot.

P.S. The refillable mug tip is a good one though - I added it to my tip list so I don't forget that there is an option in case the ladies want us to bring one back to them at night.
