Potato chips are my nemesis--the one food I just cannot resist.

I like french onion dip and ranch dip but my very, very favorite is a green chile chip dip (a green chile/sour cream kind of combo) that I've only been able to find in New Mexico. I have not been able to recreate it which is probably a good thing. Whenever I go back for a visit, one of my first stops is the grocery store to pick up potato chips and green chile dip. And I'll eat the entire thing while I'm there.

Our fave is something DH calls "THE Dip". He's an addict... I have to hide it because he'll eat the whole thing in one sitting! It's a packet of dry Ranch mix, one small container of sour cream, bacon bits and shredded cheddar cheese. You can add as little or as much of the bacon bits and cheese as you want... we tend to like it to be hefty. It works on just about anything... potato chips (need ruffled to hold up to the dip though), pretzels, tortilla chips, baked potato... but our absolute favorite is Fritos. SO GOOD!

agreed,it has got to be Ruffles and french onion. But I am fussy with my dips. It has to be Bison french onion. No other dip even comes close.

Hidden Valley makes a Fiesta Ranch dry dip mix that is yummy mixed with sour cream. Ranch dip with a zing. I like to add chopped green onions.

I also make a creamy jalepeno dip. Sour cream, dry ranch dip mix (or Fiesta Ranch), pickled jalepenos (to taste - the hotter the better for me!) and cilantro mixed in a blender. It is very similar to what Chuy's (Mexican restaurant chain in Texas) serves. It is YUMMY!!!

I also like a recipe for Pancho's cheese dip that I like to make.

Ok I am sitting here trying to figure out what I want for dinner, and now I want chips. Anyway potato chips are good with Onion dip, ranch dressing, or even Ketsup ( my poor college days) Tortilla chips are good with salsa mixed with sourcream. Yummmmmmmmm Great now I want that.

Exactly....almost 2am for me and PREGNANT...I had to scrounge what I could in teh fridge...I mixed sourcream and ranch dressing with my tortilla chips...lol

or, even salsa and sourcream mixed...

I'm another who has a weakness for chips and dip! I like Ruffles or Utz with ridges and I like the Lipton onion soup mix/sour cream combo or Kraft french onion dip.

We used to mix ketchup and miracle whip and dip our potato chips in it when I was a kid....

I am a bit more picky now LOL.

MMMmmmmmMMMmmmmm mcCormick Green Onion mix is really good but hard to find anymore, with bbq lays this is *heaven*.
If it's plain lays then it's very cold thick ketchup.
I also love the thick fritos with Lipton onion soup mix, which is better the next day!

Today we had dinner for my nana's birthday. There were only a few of us but I still made some chip and dip to munch on. Ruffles with dry ranch dip mixed with sour cream and Fritos with onion soup mixed with sour cream. Yummy!

My favorite is garlic dip - with veggies and chips. It's a recipe from my grandmother. It's one brick of cream cheese, a pint of cottage cheese, and minced garlic, salt, pepper to taste, all blended up. Then you're supposed to take a pint of whipping cream and add a little at a time, blending, until it's nice and whipped up, but I like this dip far too much to eat it so unhealthily, so I usually use fat-free half and half or even a little milk blended in just to make it the right consistency. It's awesome with the whipping cream because it has such a great texture, but it's still addictive the other ways. I sometimes eat with chips, but most of the time I slice up english cucumber and it's just heavenly.
