It is possible that my dd left a Nintendo DS game cartridge in our room - they are very small and easy to miss. We aren't sure exactly where she lost it. Is there a number that I could call to see if it was found?

I'm trying not to be sad that the first two days of our trip, they're calling for 40% chance of rain :( I'm really hoping the forecast changes - we are a week out still.

We are in a horrible dry spell here and please don't get upset about a 40% chance of rain. That only means that you could go into an attraction and when you come out, it could have rained for 10 minutes. It doesn't mean all day raining. Most of our rain comes in 10-15 minute showers and we need it sooooooooooooo bad!!!!! That forecast means that there is a 40% chance we could get a drop of rain.

Some of my best memories of vacations at WDW is when it rained for a few hours. Most people go into a panic and go back to their resorts. It's so nice to walk on all the attractions with no lines. We always had our slickers with us and would pull them out, put them on and continue to enjoy the parks. Just make sure you have a dry pair of shoes waiting for you back at the resort. Wet shoes can mean blisters!

Teena, Hope you have a great Thanksgiving cruise. Thanks so much for the information you supply on this thread. We are checking into the YC on Dec. 5. Sure hope you're back to work by then - would like to meet you.

Anyone have information on the Albatross Treasure Cruise?

My kids and my grandchildren have all done the Albatross Cruise and loved it. In fact my kids like it a even more than the GF Pirate Cruise.

They leave from the YC/BC marina and I know they make stops at both the Boardwalk and EPCOT WS before it opens. They had lunch (uncrustables and a few other things) and got a pile of "pirate treasure" when they left.

My dgs was 5 at the time and he still talks about it as one of his favorite parts of Disney!

It lasts for about two hours.

Thank you! I think my girls will love it. And DH and I can spend some one on one time with DS at the pool.

Anyone have information on the Albatross Treasure Cruise?

My kids did the Albatross Cruise in August and loved it! My youngest wasn't old enough so we had some quality time at Epcot while the older 2 had fun.
No lunch anymore but they serve snacks.

Thanks. I'm reading your trip report right now!

Hello!
I was wondering if the mini-fridges in the villas studios have a small freezer section or are they just a fridge? Thanks! :)

Welcome to the DIS!
:welcome:

The fridges in the studios do have an enclosed freezer section. Large enough for some frozen dinners, probably a pizza, ice cream, etc.. Maybe 4 inches high?? It spans the width of the fridge and most of the depth.

I apologize for going completely OT with this, but everyone here is so friendly and I'm in the midst of panicking/irritation and was hoping someone would have some advice. I just found out our AirTran flight has been changed and we'll now be leaving 1 1/2 hours later than originally scheduled. I have the option of either accepting this change or receiving a refund. So, I looked into a Southwest flight and found something almost identical to our original AirTran flight for $100 less (for the three of us). But ... DH is completely against the idea of possibly not sitting together. He'd rather pay $100 more and leave later. I realize 1 1/2 hours isn't a huge deal, but that means we now arrive in the afternoon instead of the morning. To me, the Disney freak, it's like losing an entire day!

So, what can you tell me about SW? Will the $10 extra I can pay for each person each way "guarantee" we'll be able to sit together? Someone else told me they won't separate families. Is that true? I should probably mention DD is 16 so it's not like she's a toddler. Anything else you can tell me about SW?

Okay - I've read just about every post in this thread - and I have one question that I didn't see -- which tells me I may a few issues I need to address if this is on my list --

So - I'll be there 8 days -- partly for a conference, mostly for some fun -- but I have to wear "business" clothes and Disney clothes. So just *how* many clothes hangers should I expect to find in the closet at the BC?? Should I just throw a few of my own in the suitcase?

I know.. issues. But I really really hate to iron! :laundy:

Thanks!

Hi eeyoreland!

Funny you should mention this, because this is very similar to our experience with Airtran. Now, Robyn warned us all against Airtran on this thread last summer, and Teena has expressed frustration with them too, so I should know better. But Airtran had a deal for our February trip that was just too good to pass up. So we took it, and of course, Airtran changed our flight times - and always to reduce our time at WDW, not increase it! So we dropped the Airtran flight and booked Southwest. We did not pay for the seat assignments for our family of 5. Here's why:

In the past, we have flown Southwest from Orlando to home, and we have not paid for seat assignments. We call the BC front desk the morning before departure and ask them to check us in on Southwest. They do, and because they check us in at or about the 24-hour mark, we are in the "A" boarding group. As a result, it's easy to get seats all together.

Of course, this is not a guarantee, and if you want to be sure you should buy the seat assignments. But we're comfortable enough with the process and the outstanding service from BC that we didn't feel the need. But unlike your family, we do have a child "4 or under" so the worst that could happen is that we board between the A and B groups, so that may make a difference.

I entirely understand your concern about 1.5 hours - this drives me nuts when Airtran makes those changes. It really does impact our schedule for arrival or departure day and our ADRs. The good news is that I haven't had difficulty dropping flights and going to SW when necessary. Just be sure Airtran doesn't charge the change fee - I had to watch my receipts because they have charged change fees when they told me I could change or cancel with no fee. I just call back to fix it, but it's important to double check.

Hope that helps a little! :wizard:
