Have a great trip!

Can't wait to hear all about it.

Hi Robin and thanks!:flower3: Our trip is winding down. My younger son and I were at the Polynesian 4 nights and then my husband arrived the day we moved to BCV. Friday we moved to SSR and tomorrow we go home. :sad1: We've had a wonderful trip. The weather has been fantastic. Y&BC/BCV is wonderful as always. It was great seeing Vanessa, Teena, Woody and so many more familiar faces.

We had unexpected magic twice! We arrived in our room to find two plates of chocolate covered strawberries and a white chocolate Mickey. What a delight.

Vicki from housekeeping popped in to see if everything was in order. BCV/Y&BC really pays attention to detail.

Our first afternoon, I purchased a small DVC key chain right after my son rented a DVD in the Marketplace. Apparently, I dropped the key chain while still in the store. We returned to our room that afternoon and there was a message on our phone. Mark had tracked me down as he remembered that I purchased it right after my son signed out the DVD. Wasn't that great of him?

It was wonderful seeing a familiar face yesterday and today!!!!!!

Ditto!

Unless things have changed, I believe the burgers served at HH are the same as the ones from B&C.

Yes, they are the same.:thumbsup2 Years ago they weren't but for the last year or two, they've been identical. My DH picked one up for our son earlier this week. He remarked on how fast the service was and how very friendly the CMs were.

I made a point to check on the laundry room inside the BC as I could never remember it's exact location...as in which door it was near. Does anyone have a link to Joe Cool's old map of the BC with rooms listed? At any rate, it's near the door where the room in the 30s are.

I also checked on hours for breakfast at the bar in the lobby of the YC. Continental style breakfast is offered from 6am to noon. They do sell refillable mugs right there. It reopens as a bar at 4pm and closes at midnight.

BCV - sounds like you are having a wonderful trip!

We had the same "pixie dust" last summer. When room service knocked at the door (we were getting ready to go out to dinner) I kept telling them we hadn't ordered anything - surprise a white chocolate mickey, a white chocolate minnie, lots of chocolate covered strawberries and some chocolate covered "beach sandals". Isn't that just a fabulous start to your trip?

How was the Polynesian part of your trip. Since we are driving this year we thought we might start with a few nights at the Polynesian before heading over for our two week BC trip. I've been hearing a lot of bad reports on the Poly recently but I've always had a special place in my heart for the Polynesian since it was the first Disney resort we ever stayed at. I thought if we stayed there two nights we would just do MK those days and then head over to BC for the long part of our trip. How did you find the condition of the Poly?

I am missing BC sooo much - can't wait to get back.

Those HH burgers are the same as B&C. They are delicious!

It's great to hear all the wonderful things going on at Disney. The CM's going the extra mile really makes it a special place. :cloud9: They really are interested in helping and making your vacation the best it can be. Can't wait to be back "home" Have fun everyone.

Does Hurricane Hannah's have as nice burgers as B&C??? I am really wanting a nice burger after our long flight! Burgers are my son's favourite food, so I am hoping HH's serves a decent one!!
Any reviews??

We ate at HH's alot on our last trip, I had the burger and thought it was just O.K., nothing special. The turkey sandwich however was AWESOME, it had fresh mozzarella and a basil mayo - YUM! We also had the hot dogs - DH liked these and DD liked the kids grilled cheese. You should definately try the Pina Coladas! We are making this one of our first stops on our upcomming trip!

BTW - 6 weeks from now and we will just about be touching down in MCO!!:santa:

In just slightly <6 days, we should be there. Any questions that we should be on the lookout for answers for, to help those going later?

I hope you get lucky and get a club level room :) There are still great deals with the 40% off room discount during our time frame....I managed to get my room with the discount and add on the dining plan/tickets....thereby making it a package. I had to go the long way through the site though (under special offers) click check for availability and then add on the other components one by one....If I went through the site from the first page and didn't go through special offers, it gave me a quote that was $1,200.00 more for the same components I wanted!!!
If you get a room on CL, perhaps we'll run into each other in the lounge! :)
I will keep my fingers crossed for you! :goodvibes
~Marie

Thanks! Disney has great BC CL deals available with the general public discount, but we're waiting for that AP rate! Because we have APs, we're looking for an AP room-only discount in February. This year, the AP discounts have been just a little better than the general public discounts on the special offers section of the Disney website, and every little bit of savings helps! Dis sources report that Disney might release the AP rates in November, so I'm checking the annual passholder section of the website daily!

We should start a February BC list soon!

Thank you so much for this helpful info. I'll add it to the FAQ stuff when I get a chance.

Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Does anyone have a photo of the Ariel statue, which I believe is at the Beach Club Villas. Where, though???

I would love to add this to the BCV description section.

I would prefer a photo without family members unless you don't mind having them posted on the front page.

You can either reply here and post the photo, or PM me and I will "borrow it".

If nobody responds, I may send out a photo mission request to someone staying at BCV in the near future.

Thanks and have a great day, everyone!

If we wander over there, we'll keep this in mind. Won't hurt to have >1 group trying to get the photo.

Also: we've already bought our tickets, though a licensed seller, and have them. Can the CL staff transfer these expiring tickets over to our KTTW? Or the front desk? It would cut down on things in the pockets.

I had this saved in our WDW files. I'm not sure if it still works or not, but thought it might be worthy of the FAQ post, if it still does work.

HOW TO BYPASS Thermostat SENSOR:
On the thermostat push the power button and the down arrow (that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly there will be the letters "bp" where the temp numbers usually are. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether you are in it or not. You might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode after 24 hours.

I'm laughing because my one dd LOVES those turkey and mozzarella sandwiches. She thinks the ones that make at the marketplace are a little better than the ones at HH. That's one of the many reasons we like to stay on the BC side now - closer to the marketplace and her favorite sandwich!
From what I understand HH does serve the same burgers as Beaches and Cream. My family really like those burgers a lot.

Thanks for all the positive replies!!! :thumbsup2 This is wonderful to know because now we can use our QS credit and have a yummy burger lunch, and I will pay out of pocket for dinner at Rose and Crown.....Then we can check out Beaches and Cream one day for their specialty......ICECREAM!! (yummmmm)

My sister and her family flew down to WDW today. On their flight the man that sat next to my sister told her that his company had bought out all the Epcot resorts for the week. I told her that I highly doubted it but would check with my friends on the Dis and find out. He also said that Disney was closing Epcot early one night for a party for his company. The Epcot hours are the normal ones for the week ~ so I doubt this too. Anyone know anything about this?

All I know is that there is a huge IT convention that started today and runs through Thursday 10/21 which involves CIOs and Senior IT executives. It involves all the Epcot resorts and the blocks of rooms at the Dolphin, Swan, BWI, BC and YC are sold out for those days. Whether they will actually close EPCOT early I cannot say. ;)

My family of four is going this March. We are so excited!!! In 2009 we stayed at Animla Kimgdom Kidani and loved it. This trip I wanted to try a new resort and something closer to the parks. I have a few questions Hoping someone can answer them.

**Are the pools heated in March?
***I think I read I can get the Beaches and Cream hamburgers at Hurricane Hannahs. Is this true and can I use a QS credit for them?
***Will there be movies on the beach in March?
***Thinking of doing a parets nite out, we have a 11 and 8 year old, how is Sandcastle club?

The group is at the YC, BC, Boardwalk, Coronado and a few others. Do they have the whole resort (YC and BC)? NO! But we are loaded with them and they come every year. There are still plenty of regular guests at the Y&B!!!

Epcot closes at 9 PM every night this week as usual.

Here's hoping that they all leave the 21st or 22nd, leaving a few open rooms for those of us checking in this weekend! So that when we arrive the 23rd at the crack of dawn, we can be lucky enough to have a room already ready.

with the convention that is going on this week. DH and I are staying at the BCV in a studio. We are not checking in until about midnight. I wasn't expecting it to be so busy in that area. I mean I know FW is there but wasn't thinking of all the others. It is a special getaway for the two of us. At least we will still be in WDW. ;)

We returned home Friday from a 5 night stay in a 2 BR BCV. It was an incredible week!

BC did not disappoint. I've learned so much from this thread :surfweb: and it made the visit that much more enjoyable. My family was so impressed with my "insider's info".

Teena, I apologize for not making it down on Monday for my pin... we left early for Epcot and when we returned late afternoon, we had three (happily) cranky kids and I couldn't break away. I really wanted to get down there to see you again and to thank you for all you do here. :)

We hit MNSSHP on Tuesday and it was so much fun. Wednesday was "date night" for DH and I at Epcot, where we mistakenly thought we could do F&W for EMH until midnight. We got there at 8 and learned the kiosks closed at 9:00 - normal time. So, we went on a mission to see how many we could hit in 60 minutes. We made it from France to Poland and hit almost every one. Not bad! :rotfl: But I was disappointed to miss some of the other kiosks. Next year!

We ended up back at MK on Thursday and it was really slow. We walked on to almost every ride. Rode Space Mtn back to back without stopping at all. We were amazed!

We filled all the gaps with SAB visits. It did not disappoint! I couldn't get over how many different areas there were to hang out. I think I could spend a week just hanging by the BC pool.

I am really looking forward to staying here again in the future. I'm hooked!
