Thanks again - you are the best!!!! One last question (yeah I am sure you have heard that before!!!) We can stay at the Beach Club or the Yacht club for one night in a standard view room using Citi (credit card) points and booking through expedia - we are a family of 5 (2 boys ages 6 and 7)...which location would you recommend?

I swear I will not ask any more questions for the rest of the day!!!

I prefer the BC but just as many others here prefer the YC. The BC is lighter, busier, more beachy. The YC is darker woods, quieter in the lobby, more yacht clubby feel.

Hi Teena,

Just wanted to tell you to have a safe flight and a great time with your daughter! Don't overdo things while you are there, try and take it a little easy... don't need a relapse. I'll see you on the 10th!

~Nannette

In 5 days time we will arrive at the beach club, getting really excited now.

Just a quick question, do all rooms at BC have hairdryers in them? and if so are they any good?

Yes all rooms have them and they are good. Full size hair dryers in a bag under sink not wall mounted ones that tend to be smaller

ok, I've seen people decorate there doors and rooms at different value resorts and was wondering if they allow it at the BC? I'm hoping to be able to decorate both for my daughters and sisters birthday. Does anyone know what is aloud and what isn't? thank you

Checking into BCV a week from today! :cool1::cool1::cool1: In fact, by this time next week I will have probably already done so. We're moving over from the Polynesian. I usually checkin early and the we go play in a park until the afternoon.

Can I check on anything for anyone?

Safe travels, Teena. Have fun!:goodvibes

We are staying at the YC CL- is there a microwave in the room?

Coffee maker? Refrig?

I know that you can get coffee in the lounge, so I am not sure about the coffee maker in the room.

Coffee maker and refrig in room (picture of frig a few pages back). Ask for microwave at check in. If they have one they will bring it to the room. Only so many are available so it depends on if they are all out or not.

Finally made it through all the posts!! I thought I would never make it ... the page numbers seemed to increase waaaay faster than I could read though :goodvibes.

We will be at BC on Oct 20-28. Does anyone have information on October hours for SAB? Trying to plan our days so that we can make it back at night for a swim or two.

Thanks to everyone for posting their reviews and comments. What a HUGE help you have all been.

I don't have an answer for you - but I recognized your username. ;) I am in the OVC on TGM.

I think we will be at the BC at nearly the same time. We will be there from Oct 22 to Oct 30.

We will be in the world Oct 21 - 23 - just a quick trip to use our GAD passes. Anyway - this is our first and only stay on property. We have reservations for a standard room at the YC. I LOVE the pics of the BC but we chose the YC versus the BC because of the balconies. Anyway - should I make any special requests as far as room location? Also - one of my boys is a very active sleeper so I am hoping for a daybed or roll-away. Any suggestions are appreciated!

How can this be??? I have never stayed at the BC, and this is my second dream about being there!! It's pure torture waiting for January to come!! :faint:

Too much time on the Dis Boards I say!!! :rolleyes1 I am addicted....

You sure can.

I'll be down there early in December. On past trips I usually get a resort logo'ed t-shirt and maybe a golf shirt. I have heard from a Dis'er or two that the store in the BC hasn't got much of this sort of thing, can you check for me?

Back from a wonderful stay from BC 9/25 to 10/1.....we were upgraded to CL which was a fantastic surprise!!! The weather was hot, but bearable, little rain except for one afternoon of downpours when we were at HS. Spent 3 afternoons enjoying SAB.....kids loved the sand and the slides! The beds were so comfortable....we were absolutely tuckered out every night and asleep before 10 pm (wish that happened at home!).

Teena---I hope you're feeling better and maybe we'll get to meet up next time! Hope you have a great trip to see your daughter!

I have to go back to work this afternoon, so it's back to reality with a bang....especially since we came home to 50 degree temps.....yuck!

DH wants to do the Disney Dream next year......now I just have to convince him to add a few days at BC to the itinerary!

We were just there last week and the hours were 10 am to 10 pm. Everyone really enjoyed the pool....little kids and big kids alike!

I've missed this thread for a few days, and I'm just catching up this morning!

1) Natebenma - enjoy your D.C. trip!!! Also, it's pretty amazing that someone can ask about the BC fridge, and you can produce a picture of that fridge!

2) Cindydare - How exciting to get the CL upgrade! And funny you should mention the cruise. My husband and I were in Mexico for a very short anniversary celebration, and he was interested in the cruise ships. Our three boys have asked for a Disney cruise, but until now, we didn't have everyone on board with the idea. So the research begins, and maybe I'll see you over on the Disney Cruise board!

3) Teena - Hope you are enjoying your trip to visit Jeanne! And now that we're seriously researching a cruise, we'll have lots of questions for you!

Add me to the Beach Clubbers looking into a Disney Cruise! We are researching the 7 night Magic Mediterannean for August 2011. Waiting for some quotes.

Just found out our good friends are "tagging along" with us for December- they also booked CL at BC! Our children are the same ages and we are hoping to surprise them! Now we won't have to put the kids in Sandcastle the night DH and I celebrate our anniversary at V&A, and we will watch our friends' children one night when they have an evening to themselves.
