2010 Trip planners, unite!!!

We are hoping to go in September 2010!!!! Along way off, but it should come around quickly. Last trip for us was in 2007, which was a blast. However, it went to quickly, which makes me sad. I'm saving $5o per day and hiding it, so its compulsary savings, which we hopefully wont miss to much. I just keep telling myself that its for a good cause, and try to be disciplined. Tking 6 kids from Australia to USA is no mean feat.

We are Australian too. We went April 2008 with four kids and now we have a new addition so he has to see Disneyworld. We are planning Sept/Oct 2010.

We leave in 54 days for our June 2009 trip, but our April 2010 trip is getting me more excited!

Since we are driving down with my parents, we were planning on leaving Friday after school lets out for Spring Break. I found out that the kids actually get out on THURSDAY instead. So, my dad suggested that we leave Thursday instead of Friday!

Since we are DVC members, we are using points for our stay, but we will be arriving on Saturday now instead of Sunday. We are using every point we have for the Sunday-Thursday so we do not have any left to add a day. This means that we have to stay somewhere else for that first night. I found a Residence Inn in Orlando that offers a 2BR suite with a full kitchen. Since my dad is a "senior" (only on paper) we can get it for a total of $180 for the night. He loved it! He handed me his credit card and said, "reserve it now".
So, now we have officially confirmed our first night of our 2010 vacation!

Only 21 more days until I can book our first two nights at the AKV!

We just got back two weeks ago and are wanting to go back November 2010. DH says it's going to happen but I don't believe it until we book.

I want to see the Christmas decorations up. Can't afford to go twice in one year so next year we shall wait! We will most definitely stay at the CBR again. We LOVED it!

I am just starting to plan a trip for June 2010 for me and my 3 children (DH does not want to go ), My dad, stepmom, and DBro who is 11 (their first trip they have never been), and my Dsis and her Boyfriend. It is going to be so much fun.

We are planning a Feb. 2010 trip. It will be DD second trip, she'll be 4. DS will be 22 months and it's his first time!

Right now we're undecided between ASMo and POP.

Oh my gosh, I'm thrilled I just found this site. We have decided to take our 8 year old February 2010. I want to mousavers and I'm am completely overwhelmed, there is soooooo much to learn and plan.

I contact the TA they recommend on the site (small world). I have learned that the rates, etc. for 2010 won't come out to June or July of this year. I've read some posts that said November 2009???? That would only give us 2.5 months before we leave. How do I do this?

We are undecided on how many days, maybe 4 or 5? I looked at the resorts, and although the value ones are in our price range, that Wilderness Lodge looks great!

Do you recommend the regular dining plan, the deluxe or platinum thingy? We do enjoy food, so I wouldnt' want to skimp there.

Feeling completely overwhelmed and afraid to make one wrong move. Any help or support would be appreciated. This is a one time trip for us, so I want it to be as perfect as possible.

Congrat's on your Trip. Just make sure to do your research and keep a notebook. It helped me alot the first time. I'd personally stick to the Value Resort for your first trip as you are going to want to spend more time at the parks then at your Resort so why pay the extra? The value Resorts are soooo Disney I'd save the money and spend it otherwise for your stay.

We are going in July 2010! We went in July 2008 for our first WDW trip together as a family (DH and I had been there separately before we were together). We fell in love with Disney World and we bought a Disney Vacation Club membership! We will be going to WDW every other July as our boys grow up. My older one is 4 and my little one will turn 2 on May 1st. So we have many years until they grow up, and we figured the DVC was a great investment for our family. We bought it with Boardwalk Villas as our home resort.

Last time we went to Disney we stayed at Pop Century, so the Boardwalk Villas will be a huge change! I can't wait, and I am neurotic about Disney planning but I enjoy it so much! I look a lot at attractions at the parks, the latest updates so I an up to date on everything, and lots of research on Disney dining since we enjoy it so much. I am excited that I can officially book our trip this August. It will make it feel that much closer. It is also nice being secure that every other year our Disney vacation is waiting for us! It's the one place we could go back to over and over again and not get bored with it!

We stayed at the POP last July and we enjoyed it! The theming is amazing, and the food court is wonderful! It's a very whimsical place to stay! My older son was 3 and the little one was 14 months when we went. We had lots of fun! POP also has its own bus and does not share it with any other resorts.

We are going May 2010 and maybe October 2010 too! We want to try out PORS for 8 days. Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait. We went Feb. 2009 and are still grieving having to come back home!

Check at the very beginning of August 2009 for 2010 rates and packages. Last year, the 2009 package rates came out in August 2008. I don't remember which week, but I believe it was the beginning of the month.

I can't wait for this either! Because they will announce any changes to the DDP, if any, and the cost of that as well. We are DVC members and are entitled to use the DDP so we decided we are getting it again for our 2010 trip. We enjoy it. So I am waiting so that I can budget for it!

We are looking at going back in Feb. or the first week of March & staying at one of the Epcot Villas or CL Poly.
The dates are somewhat flexible - depending on the deals that come out, but, I want a 'low' crowd week and have read the first of March is good for that.

We're jumping on the bandwagon! We have a huge family reunion in the works for June/July 2010. WooHoo!!! I'm hoping we can nail down exact dates next weekend so we can go ahead and at least get the rooms booked. We're shooting for the Beach Club for a 2 week stay...at least that's what I'm dreaming of. LOL

Count me in. Our 2nd anniversary in Dec 29. We are trying to decide if we want to use points for Dec 29th to Jan 1 at the Swan and then move over to Dis hotel for the following week. Otherwise, we will probably wait until the second week in Jan. I was diagnosed with cancer in Jan '09 so this trip is greatly anticipated because it is going to be a grueling year.
