Book at another mod, then decide which is more important, the FD or your choice of resort. You can call back later to switch to CSR and remove FD if that is what you decide. FWIW CSR was my least favorite of all the mods. Why not just book CBR today, and make your final decision later?

IF the free dining is offered for the GP on May 3rd as rumored where would be the best place to check that morning. Will someone post a new thread titled free dining offered for GP? Should I check the WDW website? I just want to make sure I am checking the right place bright and early!!!

Also, we are going 10/2-10/9, so as long as one of our days is 10/2 we would get the whole week? I thought I read that someone did in a previous post?

Regarding having been told that there is no availability for FD at CSR:

Where they sold out for the date and if no what was the reason and were you already booked?

She didn't know a reason why.
Said "the offer is new" and that maybe some openings would come and maybe not. Said she would suggest moving to a different resort. She was very nice, but clearly didn't know anything about why there were no rooms. She was perplexed at first about why she was having trouble getting FD added to my ressie and had to "call another department." It was at that point that she was told no FD at CSR.

I'm so sad. I really had gotten my heart set on CSR. But it just doesn't seem worth paying several 100s of dollars more, now that other moderates would be so much more affordable!?

On hold, booked for PORS, we got the kids stay, play, dine free last week, saved me almost $900...is this a better deal? YAY!!

I think you're better off with the stay, play and dine deal - with the ages of your kids (all three are free, right?)

I just called and booked POR for 3 nights, and the stay, play and dine deal was a bit better for our family - and we just have two kids at that age. (it was about $35 less than the free dining). It also depends on how long you're staying - kids 3 day tix free was a better deal than everyone's dining free for 3 nights. But if you're staying 7 nights, that might be a better deal....

PHONE BACK! If she was having trouble, it could be she is wrong.

Get a second opinion from another CM!

Just waited on hold for 30 min. only to be told the offer isn't available for the Family Suites at ASM. Oh well, I still have kids stay & play free.

That would be a tough switch!! I just love those suites. Have you considered the cabins? Though, not as great as the suites since there is only one bathroom. Maybe you should try again and see what another CM says about FD at the suites?

Okay...finally got through. My home phone got through in about 25 minutes I was still on hold on my cell (40 minutes in)....glad I decided to call back on my house phone and it went a bit faster. I added one more day, just in case LOL and she said that if I changed and wanted to upgrade to regular dining later I could do that....so I'll run the numbers today and wait for the phones to die down to make that decision LOL I also went ahead and added tickets to the room we have the kids stay play dine for free...we only had 1 day base on that room but the first CM said I could upgrade when I got there. I was nervous about that since sometimes when the promotion runs out so do the upgrade options at that price so I went ahead and added our tickets on to that room.

Does anyone know if I can upgrade the free kids dining if I decide to upgrade it on my other room? And just pay the difference for the kids and myself?

Got it! We are staying at CSR (booked back in Feb).

Called the 1st time.. and waited over 30 minutes to be told there is no Free Dinning promotion. We already have the Kids eat and play for free. We are staying at a Value this time. I also had to confirm my dates for MNSSHP, as they did change those from the time I origionally booked. So I called back a second time, and they said if you are a DV holder, you can get the free dining. But be careful, because they make it seem like you are getting a fab deal, but you are only getting the CS if you are at a value resort. So for us to switch it was going to cost us more money. In the end I am happy with what we have, now to fine tune my reservations, and we will be all set! Disney here we come!!
On another note, we have never done the Halloween Party on a Saturday.. will it be crazy busy? Or should we just wait until the party rolls around on a tues? Any thoughts!!

FD is out for VISA holders only right now. Which rules out us Canadians until the general public offer comes out.

We had trouble booking in the past... I think they do not set aside many rooms as it is a convention center they get much more money from business and they don't want to many FD's when they can get business people in there for much more money and no FD....

I would just choose a diffrent moderate.

Whew! I don't know what's worse...not knowing if it was coming, or knowing that some people got it and have to wait another WEEK for the GP.

Pop will be available this afternoon. The CM told me that POP always sells out first, but said as long as you call in the next 2-3 days, you'll be fine.
