that is a new thing, for there to be a preview of what will be served. Last year was the first year payment was taken for the demonstrations, and there was some difficulty regarding persons who had booked ahead and discovered they would prefer not to attend the demo due to allergies, food preferences or lifestyle choices.

I did note that not all have a preview of ingredients listed though.

I'm not the world's biggest lamb fan, but I picked Irvine for his showmanship.

Booked Robert Irvine (lamb) and Casello Banfi (Rosa Regale!) on 10/22, and Andrew Zimmern and Gale Gand (pastry) on 10/23!

Thank you TDC Nala - the link provided worked! I have a TiW card but did not receive any information via e-mail or mail with regards to the link.

NOTE: I did wait a little prior to putting in my Annual Pass number and as a result, had to re-pick my options.

I was able to sign up for 2 deminars on the 20th as well as Robert Irvine for the 24th.

My DH hates being scheduled to the hilt but has always said he'd love to see Robert. I'm just so excited to have the opportunity to actually see him in person. When I called DH to tell him - his comment? I better start working out now in case I get to shake his hand - lol!

Does anyone think Robert will also be a chef at the PFTS on Saturday?

Hi, everyone. Is there someplace where the chefs and/or wineries, etc. are listed who will be at the various Party for the Senses? I haven't been able to find out any information at all about the day we'll be there (the 16th). At least last year with the themes I had an idea of what I might be served!

I think it was a great idea to post a preview...it made a difference for several people so far.

Now I have to go back and look. I didn't even notice that they listed a preview. I only booked a couple that I knew I wanted regardless of what they were making. I was going to wait to see what the others were doing before deciding - which would have meant wandering over to the festival center each day. I can decide now - or at least cross a few off my list.

For those who have booked Keegan or are thinking of booking. I thought he was great last year (very entertaining) and LOVED his dessert. It was Apple Tarte Tatin. Here's a picture.

I will be at F&W November 6-14. I'm not familiar with very many of the chefs for that time. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks

Although there's no publicly accessible way to find out ahead of time who will be at the Party for the Senses or what they will be serving, Robert Irvine generally does show up at the party when he comes for the festival. He's a very personable guy, it's likely you'll be able to shake his hand if you want to.

At the PFTS in 2008, someone asked him to take his shirt off, and he obliged...

I probably would have paid to see Keegan Gerhard also, he was at the first festival I attended in 2001. I keep missing him lately though.

Much of the time the chefs who do both serve the same food at the PFTS that they serve at the demos.

Those looking for some of the TV celeb chefs, you can find Andrew Zimmern on 10/23, Robert Irvine on 10/22 and 10/24, and Jamie Deen on 10/16 (2 sessions).

I had a board meeting this morning so I had to rely on my DH to book Robert Irvine for us on 10/24. He did it!

I didn't see any TIW email.

But I paid $10 for Robert Irvine, I am guessing that it is normally $13. He's popular, so if I don't want to go I am sure someone will buy the ticket from me.

Be careful when you are booking these, because you cannot back up at all. If you make any errors or miss the window with the deminar you want to sign up for, you have to register all over again. Yes, you have to input your DVC member number, or the number on your annual pass or TIW card (TIW cards do have a number on the back, I have an old one in my wallet. At the bottom there is a series of letters and numbers, like there is on an annual pass, and the date you purchased it.)

I saw Robert last year, he was wonderful. He'll stay as long as it takes to meet anybody that wants to say hello and get a picture with him. His handler, Randall, has some good stories about being at bookstores at 2am. He apparently gets keys to a lot of places because all the workers have long gone home and Robert is still signing away. I'm sorry that I'll be missing him this year, but I was able to book Jamie Deen instead. Probably my least favorite Deen but I know I'll enjoy it.

I really dislike lamb. Is this what is being served on the 24th? If so, my DH will have a double portion.

When you go through the registration, it lists under most of the options what the presenter will serve. I believe Robert Irvine is serving lamb at both of his demos.

You can see the ingredient preview only after you register and get the list of deminars for booking (the list where you actually indicate how many tickets you want). If you just read them on the site, there's no ingredients.

Yes, lamb will be served at the Irvine demo on the 24th (that is what the list says). Same thing at his demo on the 22nd and I bet he's serving it at PFTS as well.

The descriptions appeared after the initial registration form was completed. Then you could view all of the options for sign-up. Many of them listed the main ingredient or category, many didn't, too.

I love lamb, but even if I didn't, Irvine will be well-worth the experience. He may serve something else with the lamb, as well as wine that you might enjoy, too.
