2010 Disney Blue Ray/DVD releases?

I have heard that Beauty and the Beast will be re-release into theaters first and in Feb, then on Blu-ray, I sure hope so, this is my favortie Disney Movie.

I would love to see Beauty and the Beast in the theaters!

Then you are in luck. Will be out in Disney Digital 3D (like the recent Toy Story double feature) around Valentines Day, then out on Bluray and DVD afterwards from the vault. DW is uber exited. Belle is her favorite. :thumbsup2

That's exciting! Thanks!

Even better, just last week I heard something on one of the podcasts about https://disneyupgradetoblu.com/blu_ray/index.html, where you send in the proof of purchase tab from your Disney DVD to receive an $8 coupon for upgrading it to bluray. I'm sure it's been mentioned on here before, but previously Bluray threads flew under my radar. Will definitely be going for B&B. Now if they'd just do Little Mermaid :thumbsup2

I did this for Monsters Inc, but I didn't even have to mail anything in. It was on the Disney Movie Rewards website, you just had to enter the UPC code from your DVD and then you printed the coupon instantly.

I would really like to upgrade my dvd to blue ray. Is it $8 for the blue ray or $8 off. Also can I use this on combo packs. For instance I have all 3 Pirate movies. Can I buy the 3 combo back or buy the separately.

Does anyone know if Lilo and Stitch will be released on blu ray? They just released the new edition I think this year and no blu ray, what goes on Disney?!?!
Anyways, we have all the lilo and stitches but the original is SO WORN (skipping, scratches) b/c my DD went through a 2 year Lilo and Stitch phase where that was all that we would watch. It's now one of my fav. DIsney movies b/c it holds so many memories and I'd like a new copy, but I want the blu ray combo pack if I am going to buy a new one.
Disney....I am a little dissappointed, you always give stitch the short end of the stick. First that awful supersonic show in WDW and now no Blu Ray, Stitch deserves better..... :rotfl:

They do not offer this on every movie right now that I know of. It was special on their site for Monsters Inc. It was a coupon for $8 off, and yes it was for the blu ray/dvd combo pack. All of Disney's new releases have only come out in combo packs. The Pirates movies are blu ray only, and they have not offered any discounts for upgrading those that I have seen.

The 3D theatre release has been postponed until some time in 2011.

The Disney site still shows it coming to theaters on Feb 12th?

The Blu-ray release is still listed for October 2010, which would correspond roughly with a spring theatrical run time. Hopefully it stays in Feb 2010, though I have seen others say it would be delayed until 2011 to correspond with the 20th anniversary of the release, though why Disney would pass up all of the money NOW to save it for later (especially in the current economy) I have no idea.

Until I know fo rsure, I am going to still hold out hope that B&TB will still come out, I have been looking forward to seeing it again for sometime now. Last time I saw it was when it was released on IMAX and that was stunning.

Not thrilled that it will be 3-D, don't know why they have to do that to all these re-releases, Toy Story 3-D wasn't that great, I didn't see that much difference, except the price.
