We'll folks, our latest trip has ended, 5-12 May and it was one of our best. It was just the wife and I for our 28th wedding anniversary. We stayed at Saratoga Springs (DVC members) and they were kind enough to put us on the ground floor, right at the building entrance. Guess they figured with 28 years under our belts we needed a short walk from the parking lot. With the exception of rain for about an hour in the late afternoon while we were at Magic Kingdom the weather was perfect the whole time. The buses were very prompt and our meal reservations went off without a hitch, except for a half hour wait at Crystal Palace but that place is always a bit crazy. Special props to Katherine at the Prime Time cafe at Hollywood Studios. She had us in stitches and posed for a couple of very nice photos. A paticular highlight came at the pearl counter at the department store at the Japan Pavilion at EPCOT. We selected two oysters with one yielding a very respectable 7.5 millimeter pearl while the second was a giant 9 millimeter. It was so big the young lady doing the opening lost her cool and shouted.."IT'S HUGE!"
We also took some time out on our day off and drove around to some neighborhoods to the west of WDW to look around. Retirement is not far off so we were trying to get some ideas of the area. The flight home was a pain and we were 3.5 hours late getting home but it was a small bump in an otherwise near perfect vacation. Next trip, first week of October..can't wait.

Glad you had a good time. My husband and I usually go to Disney to celebrate our anniversary. We will be married 23 years this November. Congrats to you for making it so long. We are few and far between:)

October is a great month to go. We went last year with some friends and our youngest son (30 yrs old). Be sure and check out the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We did it last year for the first time and it was so much fun! Enjoy your trip!
