2010 Academy Awards

I'm having trouble with the right category for Avatar. It is not truly animated, since actors were used as actual movement, and mo-cap...but it is not really a theatrical film either...:confused3 but the environment is animated...I think it is in a category of it's own.
I am also curious to see the winner for director since Katherine Bigelow / The Hurt Locker is James Camerons Ex...she could be the one to to be "Queen of the World!"

I like Sandra Bullock to win for actress, and I have been a life long Jeff Bridges fan, so anything that allows me more face time for him is all good!

Just drooled over RDJ.

Him, and also Colin Firth---YUMMY!!!!

So far
Sandra Bullock--:thumbsup2
Jennifer Lopez-- :thumbsup2 (which surprises me)
Maria Carey--Seriously hon...You are not that young anymore. Time to put the girls away, and also a little less leg
Sarah J Parker-- DH thinks she looks like she is from the original star trek--Too much hair
Meryl Streep--DD thinks she looks like she has a bathrobe on. I thought it was much better than years past
Charlize Theron--Looks like someone grabbed her ****s from behind--not good at all

I think the Best Director nod should go to Cameron. Based on the definition of what a film "director" is and what one does, he should get mad props for making a massive film like Avatar. While I hated Titanic with the white hot intensity of 10,000 suns...he deserved the oscar for directing it.

I was unemployed last year and saw ALL of the movies!! This year only TWO!

I loved Avatar and District 9, I'm sure one has a MUCH better chance.. :lmao:

I cannot stand Monique or the whole premise of Precious so I stayed away from it.:scared:

I feel the same way, concering the "Precious" movie Robin.;)

Wow--I thought I was the only one. I was an outcast for wishing "As Good as it Gets" to sweep.

I just turned on ABC's red carpet. Haven't seen anyone else yet. Is Jennifer Lopez there? I never knew she was even still relevant.

Thank goodness George Clooney shaved that beard.

I agree with most of this...

SJP's hair looks like mine before I wash and gel it, and then she thru a non matching piece on the back... what the ...:scared:

Mery Streep looks amazing! Wow!!

Charlize's gown is distracting but beautiful.

Sandra Bullock looks like a statuette herself! Wow!

Jlo looks better than I've ever seen her. That dress is beautiful.

George Clooney will always stop my heart...

Oh Sandra Bullock looks great. I LOVE that dress.

Wow! Cameron Diaz is a huge improvement over last year (or year before) She looks beautiful.

Not a fan of George's long hair and hair color.

Love Kate Winslet

Aw Carey Mulligan is so cute. You can tell she's nervous.

They need to fix the audience lighting.
