"As a Mickey Moms Club member, we want you to be the first to know that we will be holding the search for the 2009 Walt Disney World® Moms Panel soon. The search will take place later this summer so keep your eyes open for more details in an upcoming newsletter as well as on www.disneyworldmoms.com . And if you want to apply to be on the Walt Disney World® Moms Panel, start thinking about what makes your love of Disney unique! "

Actually, my husband would be perfect. He has researched so much about Disney for our upcoming trip, that he could become a Disney spokesperson. I think you only get the newsletter if you applied to be a Mickey Mom for 2008. For those of us who didn't get chosen, we are part of the Mickey Mom's club and we received a welcome packet with a magnet, mouse pad, pins, and stickers. I will definately be applying for the 2009 Mom's club.

Here's an update from the most recent Moms Club Newsletter for those who don't receive it:
"In the previous issue of the Mickey Moms Club newsletter, we let you in on a little secret: that we would soon be filling the coveted spots of the 2009 Walt Disney World® Moms Panel. Well, we just can’t keep the details to ourselves any longer and we wanted you to be the first to know. Starting on September 8 and running through September 19, 2008, or when we reach 20,000 applications, we will be accepting applications for the 2009 Walt Disney World Moms Panel. As a Mickey Moms Club member, applying should be a breeze since your love and knowledge of Walt Disney World Resort plays an active role in your life. Starting September 8th, visit the Moms Panel website to submit your application. And – if you know of other moms who want to join the Mickey Moms Club, this is their chance too. Everyone who submits an application for the 2009 Walt Disney World Moms panel will be invited to join the Mickey Moms Club. Good luck, Mickey Moms! "

I'm so bummed...the contest starts while I'm at WDW!!!! I'm sure by the time I get home on the 14th they'll have their 20000 applications!

Tnkrbelle, if the format is similar to last year’s contest, the first round questions are likely to be very brief and general so maybe you could write potential answers now and a friend could submit them for you while you’re away. If the people at WDW plan to read 20,000 applications, they will probably keep it simple. If I remember correctly, last year’s first round asked for brief info about yourself and your family along with a short statement (100 words or less) about why you feel you would make a good Mom Panel member (or something like that). I hope you get to enter. Good luck!

They were supost to open this today, but I can't get any info from the WDW momspanel site... I even searched for it out side of the DIS... anyone know how to apply?

You can apply online today. I am formulating my answers as I surf the Dis. Go to the moms' panel site and click on the woman on the lefthand side. They have three questions to anwer. I wish you all the best of luck.

I AGREE, last year they closed a bit earlier as they got "slammed" with applications.
I received the email that "leaked" the upcoming release date after hearing back from Disney last year that they wanted to "keep in touch" though I was not chosen...got all the stuff previously mentioned, cute!
So, I applied again THIS year.
