Hi everyone! To those who ordered the 2009 UG, can you please post and tell those of us who haven't ordered them if the 2009 edition is more different from the 2008 than it was to the 2007 edition, if that makes sense...? We have both the '07 and '08 and I was very disappointed in the '08 being SOOOOOOOO much like the '07. I always find more up to date information on the DIS, so it may not even be worth ordering.

that is kinda like asking what information in the Encyclopedia changed between 2007 & 2008... updates are incremental and reflect the latest information. and it is hard for a book to be updated with changes 6 months in... where as with a web site, it is the mash of a few buttons. both serve a purpose, I find it difficult to take the DIS into the "reading room" to study.

Len Testa had mentioned before last year's release that it was out but said it takes several days to work its way around the country. I found it in my Barnes and Nobles within a week of him saying it.

So, to make a short story long, I dunno.

Agreed. The 2007 guide said you shouldn't stay at the Poly because of issues with their service but in the 2008 guide all was well.

The 2009 guide won't have massive changes, but the changes it has are the changes that matter...

I have every UG since they started, I think. I think the oldest one is the one with the pink flamingos???

Anyway, every year for years now, each new one has a few updates and some new stuff. If you're planning a trip, get the new one. That's my advice.

I'm waiting on mine, too. Since I had to order one for a friend, I decided to get one from amazon and one from Barnes & Noble. We'll see who gets it here first.

I have the 07 and was looking some things up last night in planning our Oct. trip and found some old info so I guess it's time for a new one!

On the podcast that Len Testa is on he says not much changes from yr to yr in the UOG. They do list the Dis as a research place.

The arrival of the new UG is always a minor event for me. Not up there with graduations, but a big dorky deal nonetheless.

Must go and read.

In the 2009 edition, the Disney message board recommended in the UG as being the BEST is the Dis.
